  1. Yes, I completely understand what you commented... But my only doubt is the B-Tech degree in India is 4 years and because of my lateral entry I only have transcripts for 3 years for the same degree... will the assessing officer show any doubts on my results like 4 year course with 3 year's transcript only.... That's why i was trying to get some response from people who were in same situation..

    Thanks,

  2. Hello Everyone,

I am about to apply for an ACS assessment and it would be appreciated if anybody can shed some light on the following scenario.

I did diploma in Electronics and then i got admitted in second year/3rd sems of B.Tech in Computer Science.
So should I include my Diploma certificates along with the Degree certificates?
Or do they need any other letters from university which  sets out why they allowed you to start in the second year of the degree course, because of your previous proven studies?

If anybody did a similar assessment could you please help me here.

    Thanks,

    Noble

  4. Given from your scenario, most likely yes.

    All she needs to do is to take an english exam, hitting the the "competent" english result;

As well as getting a positive skill assessment from ACS (which is the trickiest part I guess).

And yes, she needs to fulfil all the requirements.

Although with 60 points as Analyst Programmer (2611xx), may I suggest that you to bump your points further to at least 65 points, or better yet, with 70 points for an invitation in 2017-2018. If possible, get your partner to lodge an EOI as 261313 with at least 65 points.

    Thank you for the comment...

I am trying to score 7 in IELTS to improve my points so that i will have 65 without claiming for partner skills...But anyway i am thinking to send her details for assessment..tricky part is, her degree is in Electronics and Communication engineering and the work experience in IT..will wait and see..

  5. Hello Every one,

I am about to start an EOI for Subclass 189  under “Analyst Programmer” and expecting to meet the criteria based on my education and work experience after completing the assessment. If the assessment is positive I will have 60 points if I claim partner skills also. My partner has Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and she worked as a Software Engineer for 2 Years and 9 Months.  I would request you to share your thoughts on my following queries.

    1)     Can I claim that my partner has “has an occupation that is on the same skilled occupations list as your nominated occupation” and the chances of getting a positive result  if I go for an assessment for her.

    2)     To claim the points for partner skills below is the definition provided in the Skill Select.

You can claim partner skills if, when you are invited, your partner:

    ·        is under 50 years of age

    ·        has competent English

    ·        has an occupation that is on the same skilled occupations list as your nominated occupation

    ·        has been assessed by the relevant assessing authority as having suitable skills for their nominated occupation

    ·        is coming to Australia with you

    ·        is not an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

So does this mean that it should meet all of them or partial fulfilment is enough with 2-3 requirements ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Noble
