  1. Yes, it's true.....the good news finally came through [emoji322][emoji323][emoji322][emoji323]....we got our visa grant yesterday (4th Sept) and immediately hit the town to celebrate. It was champagne all round [emoji898][emoji898][emoji898]. ???.
We applied for our visa (onshore) on 4th Feb. It's been a gruelling wait. I was on an employee sponsored visa  - and really really hated my job, and my employer, but was unable to leave because I could not work for anyone else without the 190 visa. The 'trapped' feeling has been so tough - Now I am free [emoji6][emoji1]. The wait is sooooo difficult, at times I think I've almost required my own Clinical Psychologist to get me through [emoji53][emoji849]
I reallly hope others hear about their via's really soon. Things finally seem to be moving at DIBP which is wonderful. Xx
    Congratulations

  2. Hello,
I'm hoping someone with some experience can advise me.
I'm ready to submit an EOI for the 189 visa on SkillSelect. I have either 60 or 65 points depending on whether I include my work experience. This is made up of 25 points for age, 15 for education and 20 for IELTS test. I also potentially have another 5 points for work experience, but I'm considering not including this to make the application process simpler.
My profession is 'Construction Project Manager' - I have my positive assessment from Vetassess. (I actually worked as an architect for a few years prior to moving into project management, however I only applied to have the project management work experience assessed). Vetassess assessed me as having 5.1 years of suitable experience, but the first year was deducted, leaving me with 4.1 years on their assessment letter. HOWEVER, they didn't deduct the 12 months I was on maternity leave, which would actually leave me with 3.1 years. And this 3.1 years was arrived at by them rounding up months between two jobs - by my calculation I'm actually around 2 weeks short of 3 years experience after the qualifying year and the maternity leave is deducted. So I don't really want to take any chances by including this work experience on my EOI. That is my gut feeling.
My question is, how long do you think I'd need to wait to get invited to apply with only 60 points as a Construction Project Manager? Will I get invited or should I include the extra 5 points for work experience?
    Thanks in advance!

  3. I didn't realise that there was a reset date for the Visas, I just thought they gave them as and when they finished looking in to them. The wait is getting worse and worse please if there is anyone up there in the clouds give us a sign lol

The fiscal year starts on 1st July , also the migration planning level

  4. Stay in there guys. I have to admit it was the most painful wait ever. 13 weeks & 2 days from lodging but finally when it came through I almost died. I'm still in shock and don't know what to do with myself now, we have to wait 3 months to go due to work but when it comes honestly there's no better feeling. Be aware everything has slowed down as skilled migration quotas are near max. Wishing all of you a grant email next week [emoji4][emoji122]?

    Congratulations

  5. My name is paramjeet singh and i am from India. I submitted my visa application in subclass 190. How much time it will take for processing of my visa? My all the documents are ready including pcc and medical. I do not claim my work experience point in my visa application. I am a manufacturer of bicycle parts in india. How much chance i have in my case for physical verfication.

    Hi
Processing time is 4 months for 75% of the cases and 7 months for 90% of the cases
No timeframe , case to case basis
