Hi Guys,
I finally have some good news to share - nomination approved today, now waiting for the Visa outcome it's been a really long wait as we submitted a decision ready application way back in May 2016. Additional documents were requested and submitted in the beginning of August 2017 and we finally received this news today - so yeah it's been a really loooong wait! Fingers crossed for a positive Visa outcome. Updated my details on the doc.
What's the wait time I should be expecting from now to the outcome?
Good luck to all the 2016 applicants, we've waited long enough.
Cheers!

I can exactly feel your frustration mate as I’m in the same boat as u . I applied on 27 April 2016 in transition stream as a customer service manager and so far haven’t got any progress...... have tried calling them so many times but the same reply every time that we will just have to wAit no idea how long it could take ......
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkTerrible!! Same here.. Have called every possible number to check. Can we escalate or complain to any neutral office that can help people like us stuck in the process for no fault of ours.

What happened to all the DE 186 from last year? Have they forgotten about us???
Seriously, I think the word I'm looking for is pathetic.

Waiting since May 2016! CO asked for extra documents 2 months ago and no news since. I'm so lost and upset with the process. Are they clearing up transition stream first and then picking up DE? Frustrated but unfortunately extremely helpless. I can't believe some of our applications are being treated so unfairly. Anyone else from May/June 2016?

Called the NSW PSE today. They gave us another number to call #######. They checked and confirmed that everything's in order however we've had to wait 16 months + as there are much older applications yet to be processed. It doesn't make any sense considering they're processing 2017 now. I do see that 2017 applications getting through are engineer roles.
Submitted decision ready - 3 may 2016
Extra docs submitted - August 3
No response even after 1.5 months.
All we can do is hope!
Cheers!

Yes mate, you have the right to ask them as you have already reached 18 months. Let’s see what they say.
Regularly following them may force them to open the pending 2016 files.

Called NSW PSE.
The person told me that they try to stick to the "first come first serve" principle. However, the upper management will have their own priorities in allocating cases.
He added that the 8 to 10 months timeline on Immi's site is insignificant. The normal wait times will be around 12 months.
Hi,
Is there a contact number for NSW PSE? Is this the same as immi helpline?
Cheers!

It's almost the end of 2017 still they haven't finalised 2016 files.
What's the problem with immigration?
Why don't they finish the 2016 files n then start 2017 files?
Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOzSeriously no clue! It's been over 16 months now and the wait is beyond frustrating. We had our CO assigned and submitted requested documents over a month ago and haven't heard anything back.. waiting since May 2016

Onshore why?

You might ask your MA to send a follow up email to CO.
Sent using Poms in Oz mobile appYep, sent a note last week requesting expediting as it's way beyond the suggested timelines. It's really annoying to wait this long.

Hi Guys,
Anyone else from May 2016 still waiting? DE Marketing Specialist, HR, 2ppl, submitted decision ready on May 12 2016- CO assigned on July 26 2017 & requested additional documents, submitted them on July 27 2017 and haven't heard anything back in over a month.
I've read that when CO asks for additional documents, they put the application back in the waiting line- not very sure and don't know how long before someone picks it up. Anyone experienced anything similar?
Thanks

One question I am curious about - sorry if you already mentioned it - Did your medicals expire and did they ask you to renew them?
My medicals are expired and I am more happy to re-do them but I need them to ask.
I wish they'd give me a feedback or something especially before next week because I am flying home for two weeks and I am a bit anxious to be contacted while overseas.
Clearly I won't be able to travel with my whole life documentation... That's what is so stressful about being on Bridging Visa.
Hi jess6,
CO didn't ask for our medicals. We submitted it decision ready in May 2016 and I think medicals were done in March/April 16 so they would've expired by now? They only asked for AFP which I was ready with, looks like it's one of those cases where they consider expired medicals as the delay was on their end.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the late update - we had our CO assigned on July 26th. CO requested for a few additional documents (A couple of declaration forms, letter from employer confirming that the job promotion doesn't change the job role significantly etc.). The best part is, I followed @jess6 's advice and applied for our new AFP couple days before the CO was assigned as the old ones had expired and guess what? CO did ask for it and we had it ready to go (best feeling ever! Ha Ha).
So, anyway, fingers crossed and waiting for a positive outcome now.
Guys who've received your PR recently- how long did it take for the CO to give an outcome?
Thanks,
Sansha

Just sharing the following to give hope and positive energy to everyone: my file has just been allocated to processing ***fingers crossed***
My info are in the spreadsheet - I applied June, 20 2016 - DE Marketing specialist
Woohoo!! Great news jess6. All the very best! You're such a great support for so many of us here and I'm sure you'll hear great news very soon
Couple of questions if you don't mind:
1. So, the nomination was processed successfully and now your file is under processing- am I understanding the steps correctly?
2. How long did it take for them to complete processing the nomination and move to your application?
3. We have applied both nomination and visa together and the nomination is under process now, so not sure when they'll complete it and move onto our files- nerve-wracking to wait, amidst all the uncertainty.
4. Would you happen to know how long the AFP is valid for? We got ours done in March 2016 and I hear we'll need to get a new one if that expires.
Hoping that there's some significant movement on the file, considering we've been waiting since May 2016! Wish me luck.
Cheers!

Oh wait - your MA is saying something different than immi. From my experience, I would trust your MA.
If your nomination is in process it means it is open - logically it should not take too long now I guess your MA will update you soon.
Basically, right now, they are checking your nomination, once approved, they will check your application.
The 1 year+ is pretty standard for Marketing Specialist DE - even it is frustrating I would not worry about this.
Best of luck!
Hi Jess6,
Thanks for your detailed response- really appreciate it.
So, when everyone refers to the date of application, it means the date of lodging the application/nomination correct? Because if date of application was to be the date now (after the nomination gets approved), then that would be a bit worrisome!! I can't stop these annoying/unwanted questions coming up in my mind haha!! I think the extended timelines + new rule changes aren't a great combination after all. x-(
Anyway, keeping positive and hoping for the best. I'd hope for it to come through in the next month, if not earlier. Hope yours does too.
Cheers!

Oh god, don't tell me they haven't opened the May DE marketing specialist files How much longer are we going to wait? This is so unfair compared to transition people.
You should be able to import your application into your immi account if you have one: https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login
You can only view your application status and cannot view your company nomination one.
You can see your visa status through vevo but I do not think that they show application status: http://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Visa/VEVO/how-to-view-your-visa-status-and-entitlements
Immi phone number is here: http://www.border.gov.au/about/contact/make-enquiry
Seeing your status is not super helpful because there are no details and it generally simply goes from received to finalised.
Calling immi does not really help either because that's just a support line. Even if they access your account - which they do not always do, depending on who answers the phone - they can't give any feedback on the process.
By the way, are you onshore of Offshore?
Thanks jess6,
It's annoying to wait, I agree. We're onshore (in NSW).
I'm now slightly confused with the process & steps involved. Can someone please help me out?
1. Submitted our application on 12-05-2016 with all the documents (police verification, medicals etc), Status is "Received"
2. our MA advised that the next step is for the CO to reach out to us.
3. However, as it has been over 13.5 months, we reached out to the immi helpline to enquire. The immi customer service agent asked us to double-check if the nomination is completed as that's the most critical document and that we should be alright if the nomination has been completed. He also mentioned that the pile seems to be becoming smaller now so we should hear from someone within the next 2 months- might have been an estimate. He also said he can't see a 956 form informing who our agent is!!
4. Now, we reached out to our MA to double-check and the MA told us that there definitely is a 956 form attached (but how do we be sure?)and that the "nomination application is noted as ‘assessment in process’. It has not been decided.". What does this mean and where does this leave us now?! I'm not sure if this impacts our application and if the 1 year+ wait is a waste? Furthermore, I'm praying that it doesn't impact our application timeline. There are so many questions in my mind right now and my worst fear obviously is nothing went ahead due to this step not being completed, hopefully, this is not the case.
It'd be a great help if anyone could throw a bit of light on the nomination status mentioned above. Our MA has now reached out to seek an emergency update from immi, but we have no clue when we'll hear back.
Thanks,
Sansha

Hi everyone,
I have a question- Some of you have said that you can see your application status move from 'x' to 'y'. Can I ask where you log in to check this? We have applied for a 186 Visa (ENS) in May 2016 and are waiting for a CO to be assigned.
As per our MA, that's the next step but when we asked if we can keep track of the status anywhere or call immi, MA said there's no way to do this. I'll add my details to the spreadsheet now but looks like the applications are being processed by job skill demand as well. Perks of being from a HR country + being a marketing specialist
Cheers!

Hi Guys,
Any clue why the timelines increased from 6-8 months to 12 months and more? I applied for my 186 ENS, direct entry back in May 2016. The timelines have been stuck at April-November for a month and a half now.,not sure when May applications will be considered. Any other way I can check what's holding up my application? Thanks so much for your help.
Cheers!

Definitely!! Looks like they're looking at May-June 2016 HR apps now, saw a couple come through this week.. it was only 3 days after nomination got approved because we submitted decision ready.
Good luck to you and everyone else waiting.
