Sorry everyone its a bit of a rant but has anyone had problems with the PTE?. My husband did it in november and had his resuts (not the ones we needed) in 5 days.  He re did them on the 8th december. Still no results. He calls every 2 days as he keeps getting told he'll have them in 48 hours. Cant book another test as no results for this one. The man on the phone said they dont have a complaints department. The case file number is the same as the one we got on december the 18th and now hes just been told theres no time limit at all so could be when ever. Fed up as really need to see how he did. Only 4 people took it the same day (in newcastle)  Aggghhhh why is getting to australia so hard. Anyway best open the wine and calm down lol. Never ever had customer service as bad as this. Makes me so mad. So happy for this forum as when i mention anything to family and friends they just ask when are we going. Then they moan about it. Think people think its so easy..you get a visa, pack your house and go live happily ever after..its so hard sorting the visa. I know it'll be worth it if we ever make it 

Hi all I've lodged my EOI is there anyway I can see when they are inviting?

I'm a Hgv diesel technician and was wondering if we get invited quickly as we are in high demand.

They just want to know that you are what you say you are. Download the trade fact sheet from the Vetassess website which will give you a heads up.
If your specialisation is heavy motor vehicles then definitely revise automatic transmissions, as this is big in Australia.

I am fairly confident in most subjects but unsure in some others.

No I don't believe he does as long as his qualifications and is recognised by his employer. You need a skills assessment on the 189 though

Hi Tom, sorry for the late reply. We are moving there soon as we are halfway through our 189 visa.
I'm a volvo Hgv technician. We can't wait to move out there mate as our 2 boys can't wait either. I'll check you out on the links you have given me.

Techs on the move specialises in that area. I'm with visa consort going through my 189 as Hgv truck technician / diesel mechanic. Got my assessment coming up but I've heard it's like apprenticeship questions like showing pictures saying what's this and that and what's causes voltage drop.
Also you have to do an IELTS test aswell and get marks out of 7 for general questions. I have links to test questions also if you need.
