  1. Good news!!!

Yesterday, I got my visa. I received the visa grant letter as an attachment in the email. It took approximately 5 months since sponsorship application. Big relieve!!! Now I have a quick question if anyone can answer that would be great. Is Visa Grant Letter the only document as proof of my visa to travel? Do I need any physical visa seal on my passport?

When your nomination is approved u can get the TRN of your employer, then I logged that into Immi account, did our bit, then got our own TRN

It seemed that from us logging all our details into Immi account and getting a case working, employers details was then added, so I can see the company now on my Immi.

When nomination gets approved then you get the Nomination ID not the Nomination TRN. TRN is provided when your employer just lodge the nomination application, and nomination ID is provided once it is approved.  I actually lodged my individual application with the Nomination TRN before the nomination is approved. After lodging the application I didn't see employer information in my immiaccount. However, after 1 month I see their information is appearing in my immiaccount. I was wondering is it due to the fact that their business sponsorship was approved as well as the nomination? I asked my employer, but they didn't reply to my question. My employers sponsorship and nomination both yet to be approved as far as I know.

    Thanks

    Hi all,

I am granted for 4 years for 457 last Friday. (Developer programmer, low risk country, applied onshore).

    Good luck.

    Timeline
    Sponsor Lodged : 21 Dec 16
    Sponsor Approved: 17 Mar 2017
    Nomination Lodged: 23 Mar 2017
    Nomination Approved: 6 Apr 2017
    457 Lodged: 6 Apr 2017
    457 Approved: 5 May 2017

    Congratulations!

  4. Can anyone say, that the mentioned "visa processing time" on border.gov.au website includes all the process (sponsorship, nomination and visa application) of 457 visa application? I mean 6 months for whole process or only for the final visa application?

I asked so many people, but no body could answer it.

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Hi there,

First of all, thanks for taking time answering my question. I applied for 457 visa on 9th of April, 2017, for myself, my spouse and my son. My employer had applied for business sponsorship on 5th of January 2017 and Nomination on 24th of March 2017. I was checking the current processing time for 457 visa on immigration website, which says maximum 6 months for 90% of the applications. I was wondering whether this processing time includes all the process of sponsorship and nomination or is it 6 months after the approval of sponsorship and nomination? FYI, my occupation is in the MLTSSL and none of the sponsorship and nomination have been approved as of now. Thanks for your time.

You should assess whether extra criteria now apply for your occupation, as many occupations now have "caveats".

Fortunately no caveats. But my employer applied for sponsorship on January 5th, 2017 and Nomination on March 24th, 2017, but yet to get any positive response from any of those. Moreover, I applied for my visa (including my spouse and child) on 9th April with our NRN (Nomination Reference number). Don't know, how long will it take?

  7. Hi There,

I lodged my application on 9th of April. My employer lodged their sponsorship on 5th January and nomination on 24th March. None of these has got any positive result as of now. Can anyone suggest how it will be impacted by the new abolished 457 visa policy? I found my occupation is in MTLSS which is eligible for 4 years visa. But how my application will be assessed now? Do I have to reapply or will my existing application will work?

    Appreciate anyone's comment.

  8. Hi there,

My sponsorship and Nomination application has been lodged by my employer but yet to get any response. I am also planning to lodge my application. I was wondering do I have to purchase health insurance while I lodge my application. Or should I wait till the case officer asks for it?

If I consider to purchase the insurance, will the cost start counting when I land Australia or will it start right from my payment?

    Thanks

Hi rubel my sponsor was approved within 6weeks and nomination has been applied 15dec still waiting
    Thanks

Thanks for your quick reply. What is MA?

Why my application is being so delayed, specifically the sponsorship? Could it be a reason for the delay, that my employer was asked to submit another document after 2 months of sponsorship application? My employer even didn't know that they can apply for both sponsorship and nomination simultaneously. Therefore, the nomination application also got delayed. Anyway, please share your experience or thought if you have any.

    Thanks.

  10. Hi,

My employer lodged nomination application on 24th March and Sponsorship on 5th January 2017. Still waiting for a response. It is for a General Practitioner position. Any idea how long I might have to wait? As I am new to this forum, can anyone also tell me what is MA? I found some people were saying about this.

    Thanks in advance.

  11. Hi there,

Is there anyone can tell me what is the typical waiting time after lodging nomination and sponsorship application currently? My employer completed that on 24th March, 2017. It is for a General Practitioner position and in South Australia. However, I am applying offshore.

I would appreciate anyone's response in this matter who has an experience.
