  1. Hi guys,

I have been thinking myself and made a decision that I am gonna get away this forum(I know this is very regretful) not to be obsessed with my visa thing. If I deserve to be a pr it will happen to me.

It's been very helpful to see you guys' comments and news. And also, huge thanks to moderators of this amazing forum. You guys are the light of us.

I hope all of you guys get settled down ASAP.

    Thanks again

  3. Have just visited immi office and got a peace of ticket which made me so pissed to visit the bloody their website..

As one of mods said above, it's hopeless and helpless to be there. Any of u guys never be there.

Because a lady deals with visitors and she was like a robot while she repeating her words. There is no chance to get any help for viewing any progress.

I guess making a phone call will be better than get a parking ticket to visit the useless office.

Trust this on me. It was worst than I expected.

Yep, one of the mods :)

You can try, but the staff in the office are basically clerical / customer services. From my experience they wont be able to tell you very much.

    Good morning

    Thanks for your reply!

To be honest, I do not really expect something from there lol Just want to give it a shot.

I hope you have a long good weekend.

my nomination was clearly done 22th May, but I am still awaiting processing the visa application even though my ma lodged them at the same time.

I will visit to the immi office to find out this tmrw. If I get any news regarding to this I will let u know.

The immi office will not have your case officer. So, they wont be able to tell you anything. Waiting a matter of weeks is not a long time. Particularly at the moment

Wow.. you are the moderator of this forum.

I just want to ask them whether my visa application is allocated ot not. I do not even expect to meet one of them there lol

Do you believe they will not let me know anything? I mean they have no authority to check my visa application process?

    Cheers

    Hi Guys

just to let you know my nomination has been approved by NSW today. Applied on 3 of May, Cook, HR.

    No documents requested

    Hi buddy,

Did u lodge nomination and visa application together?

My one also same as you. I am awaiting processing my visa application since Nomi got granted.

  10. Just a quick question for you guys.

After the nomination got granted, how  long does normally the visa application take to be processed by a CO?

I lodged them together but only nomination was granted 2 weeks ago and after that nothing shows up.

Plz share me your experience or info.

    Thanks in advance.

Guys i have one question case officer asked me for past 2 years of super annuation statement in transition visa 186 visa.

So how can i show that from 457 visa granted 2014 to 2016.?

    Or 2015 to 2017?

Actually my employer didnt pay in 2017

    Plz advise me .

    Thanks

I believe the lastest docs required. You should discuss this with your MA urgently. You are lucky that you met a good CO otherwise your case would have been rejected if you met a fussy one.

Don't panic. There will be a way to get through.

I wish we could guess but the government is changing the rules all the time and is not being transparent about it - obviously on purpose - so It's impossible to know.

I would avoid speculating though as it will not change the outcome and may cause more anxiety than anything else. That being said I am super stressed :)

    Have a great weekend!

Yep totally agree. I am planning to visit the immi office in city to find out the process. Just give it a shot.

You have a good weekend too.

The visa inquiry number on the website: http://www.border.gov.au/about/contact/make-enquiry

Do plan some time ahead if you call as there will likely be a queue.

Again, I would avoid calling them if you are not above the 11 months timeline. I would also avoid calling too often. If this is managed like a call centre, these guys are probably taking notes about each contact from your agent or yourself. So put yourself in their shoes ;-)

And by the way, they also just answered my last week email. And this is not an automated email, this is a real answer. In short, they tell me that the application has not been allocated yet and they are still allocating April to December 2016.

As frustrating as it is, use common sense, stay calm and polite. These guys do not change or make the rules - they just apply them.

Again thanks for your reply. This makes sense a lot. I might as well wait a bit more to make a call.

Do you think that ppl will get less visa grants in June?

I called the department of immigration today - first time in more than 11 months. I had sent an email last week but did not receive any answer.

The person I talked to was very nice and patient. She knew I had an agent and did not get upset with me at all for calling.

She told me that my application is not processed because my nomination had not been approved yet. Obviously she could not disclose any information related to my company.

My understanding from the conversation is following: the Case Officer is the final person who completes the assessment, however it sounds like background checks are being managed by other teams before the Case Officer is being allocated. So even if we do not have a CO and our status is "received", it does look like the nomination files are being looked at.

I think it is fine to call immigration and check on your application after the 90% timeline has been reached. They do not mind if you have an agent as long as you are polite and do not call every week. However our applications depend on our company nomination so there is not much these guys can tell us if our nomination is holding the file.

In my case, I do not think that there is any issue on the company side or on my side. I feel like being a DE Marketing Specialist is holding the file basically because that occupation is under high scrutiny.

I have followed up with my agent and asked if she could call. She is nice so I trust she is doing the right thing. ***fingers crossed***

    Thanks for sharing this.

What number did you ring? Can you tell me plz?

    2 cents from me -

After 6 months of app lodgement and even if you have a MA, feel free to call up IMMI for update. Be gentle and extremely polite to ask them for update. Do start the conversation by thanking for their time and hard work, then ask if it is appropriate to ask about status as you have been anxiously waiting for over 6 months for any update.

Once I completed 6 months, I called them thrice in a span of 10 days and every time they spoke very well and gave me an update. In my third and final call, they told that my application will be picked up soon and within 3 hours the status changed to Granted. (App was lodged in NSW but approved in WA, I used MA).

During the calls, they said that status update takes precious time and I should contact my MA for an update. On this I apologised and again thanked them for their time and effort. The agent mark each time you call in the application, so be honest as well.

    Thanks for sharing your experience.

Can you plz tell me the office number you called?  Coz my employer nomination has been approved last Mon, but visa app is awaiting at the moment. My MA lodged them together at the same time in Nov last yr.

    cheers

Still waiting, at the meantime, I choose to learn English and get myself a tutorial. In order to get a high score in IELTS. In this case, I feel better than thinks of my visa every single day.

Sent using Poms in Oz mobile app

Try PTE rather than Ielts. Nowadays, many ppl study PTE coz it is more reasonable and fair.

you know ielts is a massive English test business related to immigration industry and sucks all our money.

The level of PTE will be ok untill this year. Now it starts getting harder coz too many candidates got results more than they deserve.

    Good luck my friend.
