Yea my agent has said it will be in London so I would imagine it's the same.
Just nervous about it all! Don't have the amount experience as a lot of people do. Have been told it's like the AM2 but with more motor control and in depth theory exam!

Can I ask where are you going to do your practical assessment?
And how much does it cost?
Have been told by my agent it will cost around £1500 for the whole skills assessment.
Thanks
Steve

Sounds great!
Do you know of any mock versions of the skills assessment?
Thanks

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone could give me some tips on the skills assessment, is it pretty much the same as the AM2?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Are there any electricians going through visa application, or have been through recently?

Don't worry, found out it's definately the academic one I need
I have an agent helping with my visa, he has told me that it depends who you go through for the English test for example IELTS you have to do the general and Pearsons you have to do the academic..

Hi Steve , hopefully someone who has done it will be along soon as there are plenty of sparkies made the move. Just look into licencing once your here as electricans have lots of hoops to jump through despite any trades recognition done to get the visa, so you will need to budget for that too.
Cal x
I have family who live in Canberra so I can live with them while doing any training and job searching (subject to my state sponsorship). Should save me quite a bit in rental fees etc.
Thanks
