Time + money nowadays no guarantee u get approval.

I suggest go for 457 with same employer once u get Australia then apply 187.

In 457 u get approval in 1 to 3 month then TRANSIST to 187 its faster, u can spend more but ur entry 10 month earlier.

My time line is,

nomination and visa 25 feb 2016

retail, service and hospitality manager nec

requested more documents for nomination on 5 Jan 2017 and they also ask for svac payment for my wife IELTS

all the documents submitted on 1feb 2017

nomination approved 15 feb and my MA also send Vac payment to immi.

Today completed 12 months still waiting for PR.

A 457 visa generally takes 1-3 months vs. a 187 which takes 9-10 months. My company planned a similar approach (457 followed immediately by a 186) with an employee but he decided to remain in his job overseas. I would have done the same as your migration agent.

Do 457 in regional area.

Once u land in au straightaway put 187 with same employer.

If they asked you to pay SCAC,could you please let me know when they asked you,as I am also waiting offshore ,cook,nomination on 18 th march and visa on 11th may .i did not hear any thing,my lawyer said my file will allocated shortly ...all the best for your pr ,hope you get it soon,hope after paying this fee you will hear both good news on same day

Hi no1judgeme, are you asking about (SVAC second visa application charge for your partner ielts) or Vac is different thing?

if immi asked you to pay your partner ielts fee(SVAC) according to my lawyer you will 100% get your PR.although they did not approve your nomination yet.but they are satisfied on information which you and your employer provided to them

Hello guys,

I hope you all are doing very well. Guys don't stress out too much. Well, I know it's easy to say and very hard to get out of this waiting game because me too have been through this wait and achieved my goal in 11 months. I applied on 16 Dec 2015 and got my PR on 15 November 2016. Just want to give some hope who are waiting since very long. Forget about PR, let it reach at near about year, by the time look around yourself you have much more to do, give sometime to yourself, family, enjoy with friends and Focuse on your job.

Guys, at the end of the day, we arrived in this country, we did so many sacrifices so far from our families, been called wogs, learned a new laguage, underpaid and went through the farmwork to renew the 2WHV.

 

All that made us stronger, smarter and wiser, that's why I'm not scared anymore.

 

I did all the things that IMMI requested me, I paid a migration and the day that I'll be Australian Citizend I'll proudly will say that I worked hard to achieve this goal.
