Even my app still says 'received' even though we got an Ack letter last week.Would have imagined it would get updated to 'lodged' at least. Have no idea how this works.

Nomination Ack letter received today. Nom was submitted 3 August. The letter states that a case officer has been allocated and our application is progressing. No reference to timelines.

We haven't submitted our visa app yet, waiting for nom approval first.

    Things are moving....very pleased!!

    Good luck

    Hello,

The 187 visa has a cancellation provision that requires you to remain with your sponsoring employer for 2 years after grant. If you were to leave your employer within the 2 year period, the Department of Immigration may write to you asking for reasons why they should not cancel your visa. You would need to demonstrate that you had made a 'genuine effort' to remain with your employer. You would not need to be re-sponsored if you changed employers. It would be a good idea to find the same/similar job in the same regional area as this shows your commitment to living and working in regional Australia.

    All the best.

You need to be careful as your have an obligation to remain with your employer for 2 years. Make sure that your leave due to illness is noted and documented on your staff file.

This is not correct. The subclass 187 has a condition to remain with the employer for two years. The visa can be cancelled if this obligation is not met.

Hi sir i got my permanent residency 5 months before so can i leave my employer giving 2 weeks notice if i got more offer salary from other employer and it doesn't match with my current employer paying me
