  1. Thanks for the update! I was wondering about you because you're in June like me.

HiJess6, I've actually stopped following the forum as I find myself getting even more depressed over the situation... Someone else mentioned that it's a good thing not checking every day but at the same time means he/she has lost hope of hearing anything any time soon... that's me right there as well!

But super happy for all of those being processed and granted! And feeling even more for those waiting for way longer then me... Stay strong friendos!!!

  2. Revisiting here as well, nomination approved 19th Jan and since then we haven't heard anything, application date 30th June... We have noticed in our account that medical have gone from "pending" to "assessed" but says they might ask for more info once CO is allocated... MA emailed them Friday week but only got a generic response that it will be allocated shortly... Someone has changed my status again to "In Progress" and it's wrong as we are still waiting for CO and it only says "received" on our account...

    @kumas01 I feel you!

  3. Good evening everyone, this is my first post and I have a few questions I would like to ask the forum if I may which I need some help and advice on if thats possible from you guys.

My ENS 186 Nomination and Application have been lodged just under 6 months ago with my girlfriend who is my partner and de-facto via the Transition scheme.

We have provided quite a large amount of evidence evidencing our relationship, including the following:

-Previous 12 month lease in the form of two 6 month leases.

    -Our current lease

-Numerous Electric and Gas bills to our previous address in both of our names

    -Joint bank account statement

    -NSW Relationship Certificate

    -Pictures with captions and dates

-A document from my super account showing my partner as my super beneficiary

-A stat dec from a friend of mine who affirms our relationship over the last 4 years

We still havent had our file allocated to a CO and the nomination still hasnt been approved

I am on a 457 visa and she is on a student visa.

We have been together for well over 3 years and I wanted to ask what other documentation can I provide and upload to IMMI to evidence our relationship further? Is there anything that we have missed out on providing in our application that anyone can think of..?

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated as I would like all the documentation required by the CO to be there ready for a CO to review.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post and look forward to any help or advice anyone might be able to provide us.

I'm no expert but that sounds like heaps! I went defacto on my partners 457 after 1 year together, living together 7 months. Sent through pictures, payment for previous lease (I was never oficially on the lease) and current lease, few bills (proof of address) and joint bank statement. You have way more and I had no issues, came through after 2-3 weeks. I think the letter is your "weakest" evidence, they are mor interested in statement, lease and pictures as anyone can write a letter :/ we also made sure medicare was same address and if you have early evidence of when these were registered on that address you both live ?

Immi just seem to take their time, we're 7+ months now... Good luck!!!

  5. Any FEB, MAR and APR applicants whose cases haven't even been allocated yet? It's over 10 months for us now! Getting so depressing.

We submitted nom and visa, frontloaded all requirements (and even forms they didn't ask for), etc. - everything to get it done ASAP to no avail. I notice there hasn't been much approvals for the earlier months at all. Does anyone have any news?

Are you DE or Transition? I'm june but we had our nom approved and then nothing... Have seen a few TRA app in the spread sheet who had nom approval and then they haven't written anything else, waiting from Feb, March & April.... Makes me really worried!! :(

  6. I have been lurking on here for a while now and this foruk has kept MeV sane. I was granted my PR on the 14th January.Nomination and Visa lodged 29/06/2016.No documents requested and went straight from received to granted. Based in Melbourne and my role is Prohect Coordinator. I hope everyone gets PR soon!

    Congratulations Danni!!!

No grants from Friday or today?! Guessing most officers will only do three days next week...

  7. Hi brets,

thank you soo much! I have tried to find and read different bits of information all day. Seems some swop medication during their visa application period and then go back to humira, so silly tho that such thing should be nessesary.

I do know the family policy, so my partner will have to suffer if they fail me which hurts even more. So happy for all the info you have shared, I will get in contact with my doctor and see if maybe I can go back on mtx and prenisolone for a few months as in all cases I have foud today they ave been granted.

    Cheers!!

  8. Hi Marts14

I too had ankylosing spondylitis diagnosed when 20 and applied for my PR Visa aged 28. I had my medical and told the doctor assessing about my AS and that it hasn't really affected me too much in continuing to play sport and an active job. He did a few extra flexibility tests on me than my wife during her medical but it didnt pose a problem at all and we both got passed through (tests of which were very easy like try touch your toes and look left and right etc. Unless you are stiff as a board, i don't think it will be worth worrying about) . I am sure also that if you can run two marathons, which is two more than i could do, i think you will be fine. With you not having taken any major medication, then this is very favorable. I was taking Humira at the time which is very expensive and still passed. The doctor explained to me that he used to specialise in AS which is a coincidence and he said it isn't a contagious or life threatening disease, and many can manage the condition well throughout their life so it is not something which should fail your medical. The doctors do an assessment and then send it off to Brisbane. He said he would be very surprised if i failed and if so he would call them and explain that AS is not a condition which should result in a medical fail.

I hope this goes some way to putting your mind at ease and if you have any other questiosn please feel free to ask. I am also friends with rickcuzza who also had a similar experience to me and passed fine with AS.

Unfortunately i think you have to pay for visa application up front but i am confident that given your set of circumstances, you should pass. Maybe give the medical assessment place a call prior to ask questions regarding AS and chances of passing to put your mind at ease before going ahead.

Best of luck with your medical and visa applications.

    hi stephane,

    just found this amazing thread!

Did you you passe MOC and got PR while being on humira? ? I'm just as worries as everone else and after reding the posts here thinking I might try to quickly go off humira, to then go back on when pr has come through. Feels soo silly tho that one would have to go through that... please let me know your process!

    thank you heaps!

  9. hi there,

yes we received the information from MOC to get the form 884 filled out through our specialist. we had an appointment straight away after that. Our specialist provide the report that my partner's health was in stable condition n she had no problem to do daily tasks. we got our PR on 20 may 2016. if MOC asked you to do the form 884, you simply have to make an appointment with your specialist. your specialist should already have form 884 and he knows what to do. he need to provide the information of your RA to immigration like,

    recent blood test report result

    your joints condition

    your RA stage

able to perform daily task like driving, cooking, taking shower, tie pony tail

    your current medication with cost/year

you specialist appointment cost per year

possibility if you need to have a joint surgery or to put your treatment to next stage in the next 5 to 10 year

than the MOC will use this information to estimate the total cost of your treatment for the next 5 to 10 year and compare against the average Australian medical threshold. if its below that cost, you all good.

unless you are on an expensive treatment like Humira, you will be fine. Immgration only want to check if your treatment cost will put the burden on the free medicare services in future.

my partner is still on the same medication n only need i apointment per year.let me know if you need anymore help.

    cheers

Thank you soo much for quick reply! Went on Humira almost a year ago ? It's stable and amazing but I know the cost might be an issue. Have they told you guys specifically it wouldn't have been approved? My specialist have helped previous clients to overrule decisions so I hope it will be ok ?. Thank you soo much for sharing as I can't find any recent information reg MOC times or my condition inregards to aust visa. So 2-3 months from submitting to MOC until visa was approved?

    Thank you heaps again!

  10. hi there,

i received a reffral letter from the MOC (Medical Officer of the Commonwealth ) to have the further information and report (form 884) from the specialist after my partner had her medical done on 1 march 2016. she is diagnose with Rheumatoid Arthritis. she is under priscription medication ( sulfasalazine and Methotrexate). she need to have blood test after every 3 months and specialist appointment twice in year. she is in stable condition now after we found the symptoms 1.5 year ago. MOC asked for report addressing history, diagnosis, treatment ( including the need for immunomodulating therapy/ surgery) and prognoisis for the next 5-10 year.can someone with the simmilar situation or medical reffral by MOC tell me what will happen next? what MOC going to check from the specialist report? how long it will take to have the medical approved from MOC? please we need an advice if anyone been through this before.

Hi brets, could you pls tell me how your application has gone? I'm applying now and in same situation. Did you have to fill ou form 884 did you say? And see specialist again? How long did t take all in? Would be sooohappy for some guidance! Thank you!

  11. Regardless of who is the main applicant, certainly this will have to be disclosed, along with details on the prescribed medication(s). This is a complex issue, and immigration will take various factors into consideration, not least the cost of particular medications and background of the condition. You should really seek professional advice on this matter so that a specific in-depth opinion can be provided.

    Regards,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Long shot but my PR should be picked up withing the next month or two. I have medical condition that needs to be assessed by MOC. Do you know how long this usually delayes the application? We have attached refferal letter frommy doctor in attempt to be 'one step ahead'.

    Thank you!

  12. Hi,

Has anyone in here been assessed, or know anyone that has been assessed by Medical Officer of the Commonwealth (MOC)? Just wondering how much this will effect total process time and what doctuments that were requested.

Our visa and nom date 30th June, hoping case will be picked up soon but then scared of MOC segnificantly delaying it...

    Cheers!
