Thanks again..have followed Iscah ... any other uselful information you can think of would be gratefully appreciated... we just booked wife’s English today

In regards to the English test just practice loads. Loads of free material on the net. I did IELTS (2 attempts) but some people find Pearsons easiers. An agent is expensive but it was well worth it. I didn't have the time after work to be filling in forms and getting all stressed out. Start gathering all your Wifes stuff for AHPRA as that can take some time to get registered with them

Hi Mrsgellerby, can i ask how long the process took from you initially applying? We can only apply for 489 visa die to my wife only being qualified 18 months.  Which part of Australia are you going to, how difficult was it for you to find a job? Sorry for all the questions

All the info is in my signature underneath. Started the whole process nearly a year ago (English test). We're going to Brisbane. I think a few states have restrictions on 489s at the minute. Follow Iscah on Facebook - really helpful. No job yet as we plan not to work for a couple of months when we arrive

    Hello Guys,

I have submitted my EOI at least 4 months ago for  NSW state sponsorship 190 visa. At 60 points for nursing nec, but did not get any response. Did anyone have idea how long it takes?? Thanks

I'm not sure about the 190 but 60 pointers with 189 won't get invited until after June 2018 now due to low intake at each invitation round. Maybe take a look on iscah australian migration website as they might have some information

I haven’t actually, mainly because whenever I have gone on it it looks to be quite old and outdated ??‍♀️
Unless I am checking the wrong one. Have you looked on there?
I spoke with my agent last week and she said the current processing times are saying 5-8 months apparently from the day you lodge. She said whenever the CO has asked for additional info that time period is not included in that 5-8 timeframe emoji15.png
I’m hoping to hear something Feb ????

Ive been looking on the 189 consolidated visa tracker. It looks like on average you will get a grant or CO will contact for further info around 100 days from last contact. I need to prsent in Oz my 23rd April to finialise my nursing registration so we need it by then really - otherwise might have to go across on a holiday visa ?

Pretty similar tbf, medicals and police checks all sent sept, then had a request for additional info such as form 80 and de facto stuff November time.
I just hope I have them everything they needed

We're hoping they don't need extra stuff now...was a bit vauge on dates of holiday on form 80 as we go away so frequently so couldnt give them exact dates of holidays from 5-10 years ago!! We're expecting to hear something mid Feb. You looked on my immi tracker for a guide

    Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone had received their grant or any further along with in their process?

I was requested more info and a form 80 which was all sent back but now I’m waiting (again)

    Nope - still waiting...

Was invited and applied in Sept. Sent form 80, meds and police checks end of Nov.

    Whats your timeline?

So..when do the pro-raters start again? Is it June or July? Would this potentially mean that 60 pointers like myself not get an invitation at all as the pro-ratered occupations will then be reinvited? I only have til next Oct as then I will lose age points.

I'm not sure. Remember that table is an estimate. If they increase numbers to more than 1000 it'll be quicker, if they reduce numbers it'll be longer. Follow Iscah Australian Migration on FB and they do updates every month regarding wait times for 189 EOI. Its really good and our estimate with them was spot on

    Hey guys,
My wife, myself and 2 children applied for a 189 occupation fitter general. Here is our timeline

    Submitted EOI 18/07
    Invited 06/09
Lodged with all documents except form 80 on 11/10
    Visa was granted today 28/11

This has taken us completely by surprise as was not expecting a quick turnaround.

Wow, that was quick....did they request form 80 in the end?

  9. Hey guys,

Here is our timeline - we're expecting to wait another couple of months now until visa is granted. We really want to be there by early Feb as Hubby wants to watch our local rugby team play in Oz!!

    24.07.17 EOI Lodged

    05.09.17 Visa invitation

    22.09.17 Visa lodged

09.11.17 CO assigned requesting medicals, police checks & form 80 for my Husband & I

28.11.17 Medicals, police checks & form 80 uploaded

Applying for 189 visa as a Registered Nurse with 65 points. Hubby is an Electrician but we haven't claimed the extra points for him as his skills assessment was going to be quite expensive.

Hi All, Has anyone already apply for visa? I just want to get a bit of timeline from all of you. Hope you can post here.

    Here's my timeline so far:

    5/9/17 EOI received

18/9/17 Visa application submitted, docs uploaded, no medical yet. (link for medical on the online application not yet active)

Hi, i think our agent is submitting our visa today ? they advised us to wait until we are assigned a CO and asked for Police checks & medicals. I know a few people submit everything at one for a quick turn around

Hi,  can you do the general? How many points do you need on general to get the 20 points?

    im doing pte Friday ?

Yes, i've passes the Academic with 7's for my skills assessment so can do the general but will need 8's for the 20 points.

I think we may be invited before i do it in Oct now as the invites have increased to 1750 for both September rounds.

    Good luck for Friday ?

General electrician EOI lodged 28th Aug, I believe things have slowed down again and were in for a bit of a wait for even an invite never mind the 189 visa itself.

It has taken us 8months to even get this far.

    Anybody else?

Sent from my SM-G935F using PomsinOz mobile app

Yes, you're right there. How many points do you have? Im a nurse & my husband is an electrian but were going on my visa as it was alot cheaper to get my skills assessed, rather than his. We have 65 points

    Afternoon all,

So i was getting giddy thinking I was all ready to submit my EOI with my 65 points...then I read people under 70 points are on a back log for being invited to apply! I'm struggling to find any nurses though to see if it is the same for us?

If need be I can redo my ANMAC to get an extra 5 points but that just delays things and will add to cost!

Any one going through or about to go through the application process able to give me any info?

    Thanks ?

    Lisa

Im a community nurse with 65 points also...weve gone 3 rounds without an invite yet and stats show that were unlikely to get an invite until April 2018 if they dont increase the numbers over 1,000 a round. Ive just booked my IELTS again (general this time) to see if i can get all 8's which will bump me up to 75 points
