  1. Anyone one else had their visa granted yet? We lodged on 30/3/17 so coming up to 5 months ... but still haven't heard anything. Fingers crossed it comes soon

No we haven't heard anything for the past 6 weeks when we last submitted additional info they wanted!! We put all initial application in in February... fingers crossed they now have everything they need and that the next time we hear from them is when they issue the visa... and hopefully soon!! X

  3. Hi all. We have completed all checks, (medical, police, skills assessment etc), and have submitted all the info to immigration. We have heard back today, for the 2nd time, that they require more evidence of my OH being self employed. We have sent all tax returns he has, letters from people he has sub contracted out to, letters from customers and invoices showing his hours of labour! He is a panel beater who has had his own business for the past 4-5 years, has no employees and is a sole trader. We are really struggling with what else they can want and what we can send them. Has anyone else been in a similar position when applying for 190 visas and if so what did you do to satisfy immigration?? I'm sorry for the long post and thank you if you have read this far!! Any help greatfully received! Xxx

  6. Oh dear. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The borders website now says 75% of 190 apps processed within 7 months and 90% processed within 13 months... :arghh:https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/190-
Since I lodged in Feb it's gone from 3 months to 4 months to 5 months back to 4 months and now 7 months - there are no words!
I've been looking into the financial year/ migration plan info and am hoping and praying that this is the reason for the slow down and that we'll all be receiving our much wanted grants in July/ August.

Oh my!!! This is so depressing!! I really hope it's only because it's end of year..... I really don't want to spend another winter in this country!! Fingers crossed that we all start to get news soon xxx

  7. Hi all. We started our application on the 10th Feb for a 190 visa to Sydney. Medicals and police checks requested on 20th Feb, all information was sent on the 6th march, then 13th April and 18th may they have requested more information regarding my OH self employment and hours worked! We are now also playing the waiting game and like so many of you on here, are hoping and praying every morning that that email will be in the inbox!! Looking at making the move like a few on here, the OH going first to find a job and accommodation, as the visa is for his job, and then me and our 9 yr old son will follow on after! Congrats to those who have got their visas and fingers crossed they come soon for the rest of us! X

  8. Most likely because the OP is asking for step by step instructions on how to do the application themselves, which is not the purpose of the Agent section.

George responded to the initial questions accurately and in good time.

Sorry!! I didn't realise that I shouldn't ask lots of questions on how to make the move to Oz. There is lots of conflicting and confusing info out there and so was trying to get things straight in my head. Thanks for all your help folks. X

  9. Hi all. Do you HAVE to have the English Language certificate to apply for a visa?? My partner has passed the skills interview and has done his EOI but has seen online something about possibly needing the IELTS. He has 60 points without it but would it be worth him paying the £160 to get it before applying for visas or is it too late now he's submitted his EOI??? Any help appreciated. Thanks xxx

  10. Sorry to bother you again George , but was wondering how the medical and police check is sorted? Do we have to arrange it or will they recommend Drs to visit for a medical and apply for medical records and police clearance?? Xxx

  11. Hi there. Looking at applying our EOI after Xmas for a 190 visa to NSW. Passed the skills assessment and able to apply for EOI. Just wondering about the time scales of things. I seem to have it in my head that the EOI comes back after 10 days to which you then have 14 days to apply for visas. Once applied for they are granted and back with you within 3 months and then we have 3 months to activate them! Can anyone confirm that this is correct please? Thanks xxx
