and my timeline is mentioned below..

Nomination applied 11th of September. Further information had requested but not sure which date.. MA didn't told us. And nomination approved on 29th of November..

e457 visa applied on 15th of December..

eventually.. visa application went through starightaway from received to finalised..

nomination -11th September 2016

nomination approved- 29th November 2016

visa applied - 15th December..

granted yesterday - 11th of February 2017...

application was straightaway from received to finalised..

Seems like CA haven't returned back from Christmas holiday..

Finally my most awaited moment has came...!!!

457 visa has been granted.. time to pack things and book flight..?????

Still heard nothing from an application lodged mid October

Not yet... i have applied my 457 eVisa on 15th December...and immi account status still shows Received.

Any idea when is likely to allocate case officer??

as I have done with medical check and police report. Don't know how long it gonna take for visa approval.. waiting is killing☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

Some good news for me and the mrs...visas approved this morning!

 

Nomination and sponsor lodged December 1st off shore from the UK using migration agent in Australia

 

Visas approved January 27th

 

Made up and can't wait to get everything ready!

Congratulations.... it seems like they started looking at December application.

Visa granted yesterday - LR country, 457 with spouse dependent, applied offshore through an immigration agent.

It took a LOT longer than the 6-8 weeks we were initially told (13 weeks!) and were given zero update throughout the process so bottom line is - don't give up!

No..! Don't get me wrong I just heard like they can come for spot check aswell for experience verification.. dats all.

I think they simply make phone calls to the employers rather than turn up!!

They do both, They will randomly check all visa applications and will focus more on HR applications, Certain Fields (Cook, Shop Manager etc etc) then spot check the rest.
