Did you have the S56 request for further info? We got this less than 48 hours after applying which means the case officer is looking at it. submitted the final police checks and medicals two weeks ago and status is 'Further assessment' 

No we didn't get any requests for further info.

We completed our medicals last Wednesday and I logged in last night to my Immi account and it showed the medical results as received but my visa application status just showed as Received. I was completely shocked when I got the email at 8am this morning to say it had been granted.

The company I work for isn't that large to be honest. Theres only about 50 people who work for the company and that's it. They have nominated people previously but the most recent was over 10 years ago.

I've been following this discussion for a while now, but just thought I'd share some good news and give some people hope as it can sometimes be processed quickly.

Our PR was granted today, but amazingly we only put the application in on 24th March.

Here is my timeline:

Occupation: Sales manager
State: NSW
Birth Country: UK
Stream: 457 - 186 TRT
Number of applicants: 4
ENS 186 Visa and Nomination applied:  March 24th 2019
-- Nomination approved on the 30th April 2019
Visa Granted on the 30th April 2019
IMMI Status: Finalized

OMG............

We have had our visa granted this morning!!!!!!!!! SPS, Nomination and Visa Application all put in August 19th for me, my wife and daughter. Case officer requested more information for SPS last Monday. MA emailed them back to say they already had the info they were requesting!! Then nothing until today!!!!!

Sydney here we come!!!!

I've lodged my visa application on 27th June, no news yet.

 

Recently there seems to be a trend of a 5 months wait with visas lodged around 16th June. I am hoping that is the case for mine as well- hopefully I get my visa granted as it reaches the 5 months mark.

Hi mate, did you apply using an MA? Have you heard nothing since your application went in in June?

This may not Be a bad thing, just make sure what they are asking for is definitely what you are supplying them it's unusual for them to ask for information they have already got so triple check, it's obviously relating to the nomination side so once that's sorted if your visa application is decision ready, you will probably be granted it as soon as the nomination if granted

Hi Samson, It's being dealt with by our Migration Agent. They are 100% that the information has already been supplied and so is the employer, so I guess I will have to trust them on it. My MA has said that this has happened quite a few times recently (something to do with new case officers being recruited). I just hope that I dont have to wait a further 28 days because of a RFI that wasn't even needed!!!

So finally some news today....................

We have now had confirmation that a case officer is looking at ours (Nomination and visa applied for on 19th August), but they are requesting more information from the employer............but it is information that was already submitted! So I hope this doesn't mean we now have another long wait on our hands.

i applied for 457 on 28th sep and just got requested for addiotnal documents.. i am an offshore applicant HR country...

At least you have heard something. We put ours on August 19th and have heard nothing.

Nomination and visa application placed on 23rd September.

Visa granted today; exactly 7 weeks/35 working days.

here are my timelines to date.... any idea how long the last stage might take?

 

Sponsorship application submitted 12/08/16 approved 28/09/16

Nomination application submitted 29/09/16 approved 25/10/16

Visa application submitted 2/11/16 ...ANY IDEAS HOW LONG THIS WILL TAKE? (they have not asked for medical).

You will possibly have to wait the 6-8 weeks again. Alot of MA's submit all three parts together so everything gets done at once

What do you mean by allocation time? my MA did mention 6-8 weeks too, but i thought that's for the approval, meaning the whole process?

The normal timescale for it to be allocated to a case office is between 6-8 weeks. If everything is ok and straight forward it can be approved within days

We are similar time.

I am heading to Sydney hopefully. As far as I am aware it has not be allocated yet, but sometimes the immi account does not get updated until approved.

We are still waiting for nomination approval aswell

The normal allocation time has always been 6-8 weeks, so 7 is not that bad. And they actually had the allocation time as 10 weeks up until today so that is a positive sign. Unfortunately it is a waiting game and there is nothing we can do. I have been waiting 10 weeks now.

Medical report was submitted at same time as visa application. We had it all done in preparation.

MA says they cannot get an update.

We also submitted our visas on 16th sep and was hoping to be nearer the 8 week mark. We are also sydney. We did phone the migration agent however and she had said that although there was strikes this would have no effect on immi processing. Do you have access to your immi account so you could see the status of your application?

Yeah I have access to my immi account. It still says received. Apparently some times it will change to processing, or sometimes change directly to Finalised.

I didn't know the immigration department have been on strike for two weeks? When was this?

Wouls be interested to know when you get this as we are in a similar position; employer used an agent and submitted nomination and visa together ! Was hoping it would be done within the 8 weeks...... Don't feel as optimistic now I know you're still waiting :-(

Hi Guys,

I am currently waiting for my 457 to be granted for myself, my wife and soon to be 4 year old daughter. Hopefully moving to Sydney.

We used a M.A that my future employers set up.

The nomination and visa application was all applied for at the same time and submitted on the 19th August. That means this friday will be 8 weeks and we have not heard anything yet, so hopefully it wont be too much longer!!!!
