Guys, I got approval letter in mid October, and still haven't received any ceremony invitation letter from my council. I was hoping to get invited for 26 Jan. My council is Marion council, SA.

Is any one else waiting to receive invitation from this council?

Who should I talk to about this? Any ideas?

Guys, how much time does the approval letter normally takes after test?

I have a quick question to whoever has their process already approved and has submitted the paperwork online.

 

Does the status of the process changes prior receiving the letter of approval, or there is a lag in time?

 

Are we able to see if the application has been approved and when online?

 

Clarification will be appreciated.

I cannot see any change in the on-line system yet. Even though case officer told me that app is being approved.

I am also interested in getting some other opinions ...

Its been six days since I gave test (last Thursday 13/10) and was told by kind case officer that application has been approved and I would get a letter by post.

But I havent received any approval letter

How much time does it usually takes?

I was able to brought forward the test to 13th (yesterday) instead of 22 of november. Cleared it 20/20.

Processing officer was kind enough to let me know that app has been approved. Now will wait for the letter.

Unfortunately it looks like there is no ceremony till next year january in my council. MARION, SA.

Anyone else waiting for MARION,SA to send a ceremony invite? I am traveling at the end of the year, is there any way I can get the citizenship before that. Will make things a lot easier for me ...

So I finally got round to putting in this complaint last week, and yesterday I received a call from the manager of the team in the Brisbane DIBP office. He apologised and said the official in question had been spoken to, which is all I wanted out of my complaint. He wasn't able to be concrete, but it looks like I might get in for the Australia Day ceremony at BCC, which would be slightly ahead of the expected schedule. I sat the test mid August

How can you get letter by post within a day? Isnt sent by a physical post?

I applied here in Melbourne, I reckon mine will taje a bit longer because i do it paper application, im regretting it now, much better to do it online, but im just hoping to receive a reply from them soon.

when did you apply? Judging by this thread i would say give them atleast 2 weeks.

i applied on 11 September. so it has been full 2 calendar weeks now.

What do you recommend? I can go to Adelaide border office easily. Should I go to the office to check the status of the app or call them which can have very long wait times.

waiting for ceremony

Online application sent on 11 Sep. Received notification email immediately, but nothing since then. No email for test or interview appointment. 11 days have passed.
