From the above. If the visa is temporary then you would put their home country

Thanks for your reply. But I thought "for student visas" means either applicants who are applying for Australian student visa or who already hold an Australian student visa applying for other visas.

  2. Hi all,

I need some advice. My wife was filling up the online citizenship application form. In the associated family details, while she was filling up her brother's country of current residence, it was asking  to select his usual country of residence and  it's also saying that "for student visas: the term usual country of residence refers to applicant's home country". He is living in a foreign country for more than one year and holds a student visa of that country. Now what should she fill up? Will she fill up the home country or the foreign country where he is living now?

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Hi

You need to list your home country and Japan and all countries you visited except Australia. I did the same. This part was added on 01-July-2016 and did not exist before.

    Good luck

Hi, thanks for your reply roland. I was thinking same as you but get confused when i went to fill the details "reason for visit". what could be the reason when someone resides in home country? Could you please give me some idea.

  6. Hi just wondering if anybody can help me with this, in online application there is a question that "since the age of 18, has the applicant lived or travelled outside of Australia? Give details of all countries that the applicant has lived in or travelled to since turning the age of 18 include work or study outside of Australia, holiday or leisure including visits to the applicants country of origin, business"

Since the age of 18, I was in my home country for around 10 years. After that I visit Japan for about three months and come back to home country. After about five months I moved to Australia. Since then I never lived or travelled outside Australia. I would appreciate if anybody can tell me what would be the appropriate answer for me of this question.
