Your probably right we are not married so probably not a simple as those who are with kids, its so so hard all the waiting, i know within the time scales etc still but doesn't stop me constantly checking my emails!

It's 3 months to the date when our application was submitted and we received an email from our case officer today stating that the visa is ready to be granted they are just waiting for the authorisation from the central office in Australia. I'm just happy that we can start the ball rolling with the house sale etc but more importantly we can start to get our beloved dog his pet passport. ? ?
I think i may have a slow case officer we applied March, have uploaded everything requested and all she said is when she is ready to grant she will contact us to check we are not on shore, as my son starts school in Jan in QLD so we are flying in Jan, Well done for you though you must be really happy x

Do applications tend to move quite fast after I meet CO? I lodged my 309 back in February 8, 2016. I have completed my medical and police checks and have no heard anything yet. I am not really worried just curious whether where it goes from here. I should also mention I am applying from Canada and not the UK. I am a Canadian citizen and my partner is Australian.
I have friends who did same process and their applications took 7-9 months. Any insight would be awesome!
There is another thread you may want to follow, Im from UK and rare to need an interview, being Canadian I would be surprised if you needed an interview. It can happen but generally more likely if your from a high risk country

Not sure if I'm asking a silly question, but do I as the sponsor need to have the police check? Thank you in advance.
I am the sponsor for my partner, I did a police check originally to get my PR visa 4 years ago but did not need to do one as a sponsor of the partner visa, hope this helps

Just got visa grant and found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant today!!! All comes at once! Taken 6 months and 6 days for my other half to get the grant so fairly quick! Moving 19th Jan to Gold Coast. This thread has been such a help x
