yes, but there is still just over 2 yrs waiting. The other is way to long and a bridging visa can be had, but personally would want a PR straight away which the 143 gives you.

Hi odies,
Happy to join the meet up, we are in Jindalee.
Joe
That's great, we live Jindalee too......

Hi odies
We arrive in perth on 20 July on 600s now until the 143's are granted and will be staying near Joondalup for a while so a meet up would be very welcome.
Cheers
Steve
Hi, that is great we will see how many more are interested and look towards end of July/ early August, we are north too so the venue will be easy, safe journey in the mean time .

Hi All, just wondered how many of us are in Perth ? either n the waiting room or been here a few months and would like a big meet up if there is a lot of us ? and are we north or south of the river ?

I can not remember the amount but I remember you can have more than 1 assurer of support to make the amount, hope that helps until you find out.

Hi @odies, yes we liked the feel and tranquility of Connolly, and the golf course being so close is a big bonus, once my clubs arrive. The pool is something Karen, my wife wanted, I'm sure its a fund drainer, but in the early days, making her comfortable and happy is key, and anything to help stop us both feeling homesick, is worth paying for I reckon.
With the train system close by we can be in CBD quickly too! If you fancy a beer sometime, let me know!
hi, we would love a beer or two my hubby Roy plays golf once a week at Carramar, its cheaper, . You will just love the pool in summer, can't help with the homesickness it kicks in at the most funny times. We have had a few hours up in Two Rocks today in the sunshine , we thought of Padstow there ?!.Went to Bells Rapids last weekend and thought of the Manifold Valley ?! When you are free give us a shout. Also a few of us over 45 ladies are meeting next weds. 5.30 at the Dome in Butler for a coffee if Karen would like to come, she would be made most welcome as we are all new to each other. hope to hear from you soon, Linda

gosh that was quick Steely, looks really nice, not far from us in Jindalee or to the golf club or Joondalup shops .How cold it is here at night that fire looks good too. Try telstra for your internet, sometimes you have to bite the bullet , we did, got optus for the mobiles and they are useless. Just have a problem with them over the EPL next season. happy new home to you both.

I am 15 months in after getting visa. It took just 18 months and I never had a case officer. I hear it is taking just over 2 years now.

all waiting in the waiting room watch Eddie the Eagle film, it will give you not only a feel good feeling but it can happen patience is a virtue.
The weather has been better today here, we actually saw the sun this morning, winter reminds me of my teenage years with no central heating

just want to say Hi, I have been reading on here for a few weeks and feel for you all in the "waiting room " as you call it. I was lucky enough to arrive just over 12 mths ago when there was only an 18mth wait.
I feel for you Julie as I think we all have gone through what you are going through, wanting to leave but also not wanting to leave. You start to look at your own little bit of the Uk through different eyes, change at our age is such a huge thing. It does get better once you are here and you still have wobbles, it has taken my hubby 6 mths to begin to adjust and he would still jump on a plane back tomorrow.
I remember Steely from the other site, and so pleased to read you are now here.
