  1. Hi Joe

Hang on in there Joe it will happen....I thought we had it bad having to wait 12 weeks for ours!Centrelink are useless we applied for our Medicare cards at beginning of December, still haven,t got them. I know how you feel, i turned into a complete wreck during the AOS process, we too were prioritised several times, it seems to be something they say to keep us all quiet. After waiting all these years for the visa to be processed the AOS experience is awful and for me spoilt what should have been an exciting last few weeks. You do get over it eventually. Good luck and hope you hear very soon.

    Julie

Hi Julie, they said it would take 4-5 weeks for medicare card to arrive. We got ours in only 10 days thou. Maybe they just depend on different location

  2. Hi all

Sorry for bothering but i just have a question: My parents have been travelling back and forth to Australia on visitor visa in the past 10 years. they just got granted PR on 5th December 2016. For citizenship requirements, will they have to wait for another 4 years or the period before would have been accumulated as well?

  3. Congratulation Julieeee. so so happy for you.

And Also, we just received the email from pvc

Thank you for your e-mail. Please e-mail a copy of the Assurance of Support ‘Acceptance’ letter(s) for all 3applicants once the assurer receives it from Centrelink as this will confirm that the process has been completed. The second visa application charge will then be requested.

    Yayyyyyyyy, finallyyyy

  4. Hi, to prove dependency, Immi asked to provide:Evidence can include:

    o Details of the source and amount of the dependent’s income from work/pension/government assistance as well as total amounts of money provided by the applicant in that same period;

o Bank transactions of both me and my dad.

o Receipts for payments the applicant has made on behalf of the dependent for their accommodation/study etc.

    * Details of full time study to prove that until this stage, I am still a full time student.

I have to admit this is a very difficult process and hope everything will be fine. I will keep it updated.

  5. Hi All

After an epic with Centrelink and don't even mention the troubles we had with Commonwealth Bank, we finally got our AOS approved and acceptance letter was collected on Tuesday. The wifi at our daughters house has been out of action for a week now so we hauled the laptop down to the local shopping centre for some free wifi and uploaded the letter to IMMI. Within one hour we had a reply saying pay up please!!!!! Sod's law we just missed the bank by 2mins and had to wait until the following day to send off our cheque. The sun is now shining Mr Telstra has been to sort out the wifi and I can now book our flights to go offshore next week. To all those still waiting good luck with the AOS it is without doubt the biggest pain in the bum and enough to drive anyone to the edge.

great to see the date is moving forwards now....... any news Sadge and Tien?

    Julie

Hi Julie. many many congratulationssss. We sent immi more evidences to prove my dependency as they requested since the beginning of month. hopefully we will get all sorted out next week. my case is more complicated :(

  6. Sure thing I will let you guys know about the outcome. Our agent just sent all documents to PVC and hopefully we will hear from them very soon since we are nearly at the finalising stage.

And Yes, 143 visa now takes more than 2 years. We lodged from June 2014 and didnt hear from CO till September 2016. With all the hassles from CEntrelink abt the AOS as well, I guess it would take at least 28-29 months to complete.

Personally, I think your evidence is strong enough. Relax and tell us when you get PR visa.

Your parent visa 143 took more than 2 years to process, did they require the evidence of dependency during those 2 years (up to decision date)?

  7. Maybe they are wondering how your parents have been supporting all three of you whilst being on holiday in Australia for the last two years. Presumably they have a large private income and can produce evidence of it? That might help to show how they have been supporting you, DIBP may just be wondering about the source of the funding for you all.

It is not a "normal" situation for a student to be wholly supported by his parents whilst they are on a two year holiday and not working themselves.

    Hi Thanks for the reply.

Yes, we have also thought about that point and have provided my migration agent evidences for the source of money such as sale of our properties back in overseas and the time that my parents and I travel back and forth. We also explained that everytime we went overseas, we brought some cash in too. I admit it would have been easier if they transfered money to me from overseas. We still waiting for the reply from PVC thou.

  8. Hi. Thanks for the reply and sorry about the confusion. My parents have been in Australia on tourist visa the past two years. We have been asked to provide more evidences of dependency such as bank statements from Dad in australia as well as uni receipts under my parents name. What I have been stressed about were that payments were made from my bank account. However, he did deposit cash into my account regularly in australia as well as bank transfers.

would it be sufficient at all?

  9. Hi guys I just need your advice urgently please. has been very very frustrating

I have been included with my parents in CPV 143. CO has satisfied with me being a full time student. However, they want me to provide additional evidences to prove dependency. My parents travel to Australia and live with me mostly the whole two years. The problem is they have been providing me with cash and deposit into my bank accounts. Sometimes, they also transfer me money from their CBA account to mine. I havent been working at all the past 2.5 years. Before that, was only on casual jobs.

Also, Receipts from uni tuitions were from my bank account. However, we can prove from statements that the money has always been deposited weekly to prepare for my uni fees and expenses.

Iam just worried if I will be accepted as a dependent child. This has stressed me out the past weeks :(
