Hope all you folks doing great. Just messaging here to see if someone is still following this thread. Just had a thought if we could share our experiences here. Settling in and starting all over again is another mountain to climb.

About me, I am working in Macquarie Park and been living in Blacktown, Sydney. I hope all you guys must have settled well in Australia. If anyone from this thread have some issues, will be more than happy to help. Looking forward to hear from some of you.

Well I'm also moving to Sydney this December. Haven't made a much research on renting a property since I'll be living with ma cousin. But the rates largely depends upon the area, and they're sky high as you inch towards downtown.

@thelostcrab: Cheers dude, I don't think you'll be waiting for 2 months. After verification from my employer, they've taken approx 20 days for the grant. So I think you'll get your grant in the next two weeks (fingers crossed).

Regarding change of email policy, I don't think there isn't any change. Didn't know on what grounds your agent is suggesting this. But don't worry, wait for some time now, as there is some movement in your case.

@thelostcrab: Hey Mate. Have you tried writing an email to the DIBP. If not, then you should. Though they are not bound to process every application in 3 months, but I think you have a right to ask them once every month now, as it is already 10 months in your case.

This might be bitter sweet news @thelostcrab but I got my Grant email this morning 6am. Which is weird because @GarrySingh got his yesterday and he's been waiting since his last document submission which was Feb, a good 2 months before me.

 

Hopefully this is good news for you because they seem to be moving along with applications and i can imagine you won't have to wait too much longer.

 

I'll stay with the thread till you've got yours, wouldn't be fair not to support the last one in the pack of Jan Applicants after that, i think i'm done with looking at visa information for a while

 

It'll be 10 months today for the whole visa application process. 3 days off 5 months since last document submitted.

@lukescotty: Rightly said, I too stay with you (@thelostcrab) till your grant arrives..

Finally, the day has come for me. Got my visa grant today morning. Relieved at last.

Hey Guys..

I hope everyone is doing fine. I've emailed DIBP on July (12th) asking about my status on the visa. I've got their reply on July (28th) that, they understand that the delay is causing concern and they are doing everything to process this application as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, I came to know that DIBP has asked for verification from my employee. Though, my HR manager has replied to DIBP confirming my details, but he has done that after third enquiry, just 10 days back (f*** my HR Mngr)

I think out of all the visa applications, some guys like us has to undergo a complete round of checks and embassy verifies everything in our cases (Employement history, education etc.) So hang in there guys, there is some development going on in all the cases, may be late but better late than never.

Will update you folks of any further development.. Best of luck to everyone..

Nothing from my side as well. It seems like this wait is never ending..

Last week, I have emailed to DIBP, asking them about my application status. I've written in my email that it is in DIBP Service level agreement to process the 189 visas in 3 months. Haven't got a reply from them yet, apart from that automated reply that they have received my email.

Let's see what they say. Will share with you guys accordingly.

No news from my side either. It seems like that they will hold the further grants till 1st of July. This kind of news is going on in other threads. I don't know how much water this holds. I Hope I'm wrong. @Charlottehill76: Thats a really brave move. I wish you get your visa grant soon.

@thelostcrab: Yes. DIBP sent me an email that my visa application is ongoing routine checks. I don't know what kinda checks they are still doing after a 4 month period. @Priscilla101:. I'm sorry, I thought you were referring to me. :-).

Is any January applicant still waiting for his/her grant or I'm the lone warrior...lol.

@Priscilla101: I have applied 22nd January 2016, CO assigned on 28th January. All the required documents were uploaded on 12th Feb.

@abey1: Yes I've written an email to DIBP to enquire about my current status, as it has been over 4 months and still no response.

I've got an email this morning from DIBP that after review, my visa application is undergoing routine checks and they will contact me if anything else is required.

The main thing is that they have mentioned [DLM- Sensitive] in the subject. Sensitive in red colour is also written at the end of the email. Can anyone guide me what is the reason for this. I am really worried now because its been 4 months and there aren't any signs of getting the grant soon.. Are they going to reject my application..?

Tanuj, You better get a consultation from someone, as one of my friends who is also an Electronics Engineer lodged his application and granted a visa in 8 days. No need to worry if CO has contacted you..

I've applied as a Mechanical Engineer (ANZSCO Code -233512).

Waiting, waiting and waiting since 22nd Jan. Still heard nothing from DIPB. Getting impatient now. I've seen cases in other threads, who are hanging for more than 6 months.

Is there anyone in this thread like me, who has lodged his application in January and waiting for their grants?

It's been 8 weeks since I've uploaded all my document. Still heard nothing from DIBP. On the other hand, my friend completed his application on 1st March and received his visa on 8th March. Can anyone guide me on what grounds DIBP is granting visas. This wait is really annoying. Now I'm getting nervous whether my documents are right or I'm missing something.

Hello Everyone,

My CO only requested PC and my employment details and not form 80. Is form 80 required in all the cases or its case specific?

What should I do? Shall I wait for my CO to request for it. Its been around a month since I've provided all the required documents.

Hope to receive my visa grant soon.... fingers crossed..

Hello All,

I got an invitation to apply for 189 visa on 22nd Jan, 2016. Subsequently, CO was assigned and they asked me for PCC and my employment details. I've provided all the details by 12th Feb, 2016 and my status changed to 'Assessment in Progress'.

I wanted to ask you folks that do I need to email my CO to let him know that I have attached the req. docs, though I've notified on immi website?

And how much time does it usually takes after this status for the final grant?
