Thanks, I just checked and it is now approved on my immi account, took a few days, not sure what the hold up was 🙂

As for the ceremony, as far as I know it will now be an in person one either in the CBD or local (Monash)  I'm surprised you haven't had a date yet, they must have had loads to get through.  Its easy, you'll pass no worries.

Congrats Andrewajp002. Applied in May2020 and haven't heard from them....

Why don’t you submit your arrival stamp on passport the day you first arrived Australia?

    Hi Kazbaker,

Since New Zealand passport can come to Australia without visa, they will be issue 444 visa as soon as arriving.

There is no stamp on the passport when I came in.  I even pull out of the movement recorder.

But not too sure if I need this certificate from centrelink still.

    Regards

  3. Hi everyone,

Not too sure if there are any New Zealander applying the Australian citizenship?

The  requirement for residence time on the website asking for a centerlink statement to say when you start to live in Au.

But when I went to centrelink asking for this statement and they said this is no more necessary and didn't issue me one.

But online application still have one section of document required.

Is there anyone similar situation and can help me with some clue?

    Thanks

  4. Hi can I ask a question?

I was first in Australia on visitor's visa Apr,2016.

Then I granted Temporary residence visa in the 29th, May,2016.

Then I my PR was granted  on 1st, May,2019.

I was always in AU since apr, 2016.

    Can I apply citizenship on 1st,  May, 2020? Or 29th, May ?

    Appreciated for help.

    Regards

  5. Hi All, we get some movement...

We were contacted by CO/MA to submit "a written confirmation from your sponsor that you are included  in the nomination for EN186 visa."

Does this mean we need a letter from employer saying my families are included in the nomination for the visa application?

    Thank you for assistance.

@Mariana To answer this bluntly - they'll make contact 🙂

Typically, you'll know from one of the following:
    - Your nomination / application will be approved / updated.
    - You'll be asked for some additional information.
    - Your application will be updated to a new status (Received --> Initial / Further assessment.

Basically, something will happen on your case and you will see that the application's "last updated" date change.

Ideally, you'll know when they simply approve the application and nomination at the same time 😛

    Hi Hex,

Can I ask a question, on my application page, it says lat update 15, DEC.

my normination applied in March 2018 while visa in July 2018.

    the status: received.

    Does this updates means anything?

I heard nothing so far from no one.

I haver the same question, Normination applied in March, while Visa applied in July, 2018. Will the 12-15 months counting from Normination application or the visa application?

    Thanks so much....

@Hex has already answered this perfectly. Please see below:

I'll answer as straightforward as possible here:

    - Nomination countdown starts from the nomination lodgement.

    - Visa countdown starts from the visa lodgement (however, this cannot be granted before / without the granting of the above mentinoed nomination)

The order is: Nomination reviewed --> (possible updates requested) -->  Nomination Approved --> Visa reviewed --> (possible updates requested) --> Visa granted.
    - I've excluded the negative possibilities, as we all know what they are (we don't need any negativity) 🙂

Thanks lot. Does Normination also follows the 12-15 months time frame?

Hi, been watching this thread for a while and always liked to read good news, so thought I would share mine:

Marketing Specialist, Direct Entry. Low risk country, family of 5.

    Nomination application submitted: 18/8/2017

Visa application submitted: 14/2/2018 (other half made redundant so couldn’t wait any longer for nomination to be approved, decided to risk the $10k fee - eek!)

Nomination approved: 20/7/2018 and medicals requested

    Medicals carried out: 24/7/2018

Application moved to ‘Further Assessment’: 2/8/2018

    Visa granted: 20/8/2018

I logged in at 11am this morning and last update was still 2nd August, got the golden email at 12.42pm!

So nomination took 11 months and visa approved a month later. My actual visa processing time was only 6 months, so it looks like the clock started with the nomination submission.

Feeling massively relieved and very very happy.

    Good luck to everyone else.

    ?

    congratulations!
