  1. Yoo Hoo, I have been asked to pay the second vac!  I’ve had a delay getting birth certificates from my stepdaughters and contacted Immi to explain.  At the same time I admitted to being confused as to why they needed these, but confirmed I would send them as soon as I had them.  They now say they don’t need them after all!  So, all looking extremely good for everything fitting in with my planned return to the UK in February.  I have been so lucky the way things have worked out.

That’s great news Angela. Congratulations. It won’t be long now [emoji106][emoji4]

  2. Just received the AOS Acceptance letter. They've said that they have notified the DHA that its been accepted.

    Congratulations!

In the documentation I received from Immi this time last year they told me to e-mail the AoS acceptance letter to them myself and not to rely on Centrelink advising them. I’m obviously not sure what the latest advice from Immi says.

Good luck in the coming days. Not long now [emoji4]
  3. Hi
I’m looking through the info needed  by immi for 143 visa. It’s asking for a copy of your national identity card but we don’t have them in the UK. What have other applicants sent, should I send copies of passports?

    thank you in advance!
This may not be my only question Over the next few months,

    Hi,

Congratulations on taking the first step. It’s a long road but I can assure you it’s worth it.

You will find this forum very helpful, so well done for plugging in this early.

We put ‘not applicable’ (N/A) in our application form against the National Identity Card question. The UK doesn’t have them.

You will have to send certified copies of passports and other documents. Part Q of Form 47PA shows a checklist documents to be included with the application.

    Good luck!

  4. I don't think we have to ask for extension of time for delay in AOS completion time taken by Centrelink is not delay from our side. Can anyone confirm this please ?

    Hi Greece,

It’s 7 months since we received our visas. I was concerned about AoS time delays at that time and requested an extension from Immi. They responded by saying that they were aware of the AoS delays and no formal extension was necessary.

I would do the same again if I was in your situation. It shows you are reading and trying to abide by the timelines that Immi give you.

    Good luck!

Hi, we have relocated in Aus last year and I have taken a new passport of my country during Sept 2019. Also, my sponsors became Aus Citizen during Apr-19. Do we require to fill form 1022 and report all these information ?   Also, can you please share parent visa email id to send this form. Thanks,

    Hi Greece,

I used Form 1022 to advise Immi of our sponsor becoming an Australian Citizen. For a change of passport details I would use Form 929. The e-mail address I was using at the time I submitted these forms (18 months ago) was: parents@homeaffairs.gov.au

I submitted these forms separately and each time I received the automatic reply almost immediately then, a week or so later, I received an acknowledgement from Immi confirming my details had been updated.

    Good luck!

  6. Hi,
we are 2 brothers both in Aus on PR. We want to apply 143 visa offshore for our parents.
I have some questions . if someone can respond that will be highly appreciated.
    1. for form 40 there has to be one sponsor or there can be two sponsors as well. if there are two sponsor does the case becomes more solid?
    2. after submitting the application when does AOS bond kicks in..ie. after how much time we have to apply for this bond
    3. after submitting the application if sponsor address changes and the address for the authorised recipient also changes (in our case both will be same person) how we notify
the department about that...I have seen form 929 but it only address the applicant not the authorised recipient or sponsor.

    thanks

I’m no expert but I have been through the process and we have our visas now. I don’t think it would make any difference if there is one or two sponsors. We are parents of two daughters with Australian Citizenship and we only used one of them as our sponsor. Remember, the sponsor does not have to be the same person as the assurer. When it comes to applying for AoS you may find (if your finances dictate) that you need two assurers.
On your second point, the AoS application and bond requirement comes very much towards the end of the process. As someone else has said, the waiting period for you if you are applying now is likely to be 6 to 8 years. You don’t need to concern yourself with AoS at the moment.
On your third point, Form 1022 is used to notify Immi about changes in circumstances like the ones you describe. We used it and it worked for us.
My advice to you is to get your application in as soon as you can so that you secure your place in the queue.
    Good luck!

  7. Hello all
just a question I need answered paid second vac on our 143 visa the 17 December this Tuesday next day recieved request for further information they want our itenary for leaving the country this was yesterday so I booked flights to go back to Ireland  emailed the itenary to them what I want to know is do I get another email stating visa granted or is this it done very happy to be at this stage 4 years and one week later

    Hi Kevvo,
My guess is that you will get your visa granted once you are in Ireland. You will definitely get an email confirmation. Ours came the first day of our trip offshore. If it’s possible just relax and enjoy your trip. When you come back you will enter Australia with PR!
    Congratulations!

  8. Thanks.  Did you do it all electronically?  We’re so stressed at the moment as Seven Seas tried to deliver our starter pack to the wrong address so we’re a day less to sort out everything 🤬 boxes hopefully arriving tomorrow

    Hi Jacqui,
We did ours the old fashioned way, on paper. We weren’t offered an electronic version. Things may have moved on in the last 18 months.
When the Seven Seas guy came to view the access to our property (a week before the move) he left the inventory forms with us. When he came on moving day we gave him the completed forms.
I see another couple of responses to your query and I can relate to both.
    Best wishes

This may seem a strange question...Move cube...our boxes are arriving today....says we have to list every item value, new/used, what made of etc.  anyone who’s used this did you just list things like craft supplies and give a value, and fishing tackle? We have a lot of collections eg family history memorabilia surely these things aren’t listed individually or I’ll be here until the turn of the century.  Any help would be most appreciated!

    Hi Jacqui,

When we completed our forms for Seven Seas we only had to put values to items we had owned for less than 12 months. If these items were gifts (and some of them were) we noted this on the form.

For all our other stuff we numbered and described each box and used generic terms to describe the contents. For example:

No 9 - Large Cardboard Box - cooking pans; rice cooker; tea towels; gents clothing

No 19 - Large Suitcase - framed pictures; towels/bed linen; ladies clothing

We were also required to list all items made of wood.  For us this included a bed frame, bedside cabinets, knife block and a fruit bowl.

I hope this makes sense.  Let me know if you need any more information.

You must be super excited now!  Good luck.

    David

  10. Dear David  can I ask did Move cube deliver to your new address in Australia or did it just go to a depot to be picked up? Thanks Jacqui

    .

    Hi Jacqui,

First of all, many congratulations on receiving the request for the second vac! You must be super excited! You can put all the pain and anguish of the long wait behind you now and look forward to a new life and a whole set of new adventures here in Australia. I’m so happy for you [emoji106][emoji41][emoji1037]

In answer to your question, Seven Seas delivered our Movecube to our new address. It is a door to door service which took 90 days for us.

If there is anything else I can help you with please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

    Good luck!

    David

  11. Question to any 143 applicants please who may have gone to Australia on a subclass 600 (probably with a return ticket) but hoping to have been granted your 143 visa during your stay.
Did anyone ship any household items at the same time? (not large things like furniture, beds etc.) If so did you have to do anything special for customs etc. for when your shipment arrived?  Or, did you perhaps decide to leave everything in storage at home until your visa was granted?  Thanks in advance to all!

    Hi Biggsy,

We came out to Australia on a 600 visa in June 2018. We used Seven Seas to ship our stuff and we filled a large Movecube. Seven Seas provided all the forms to fill in and we had to give a detailed list of what was in each box. One of the conditions of the move (from Seven Seas) was that we had to have a suitable visa. Of course, having a 143 visa is very suitable. A 600 visa was also suitable.

We shipped our stuff 6 weeks before we flew and it arrived in Australia 90 days later. Seven Seas provided a door to door service. Customs will most certainly have studied our paperwork but it didn’t look like they had opened our Movecube.

I would highly recommend Seven Seas.

    Good luck

  12. AOS acceptance letter now received from Centrelink saying they will forward the acceptance to Immi.  I think this should be the last stage of the wait, though heaven knows how long it will take.  There don’t seem to have been any reports of visa awards lately, albeit lots of lead up activity.  I don’t know what is going on with Immi. But hoping they will start approving visas soon and that this blog will be full of good news!

    Hi Angela,

Congratulations! That’s great news. Hopefully it won’t be long now before your visa is granted. No more 600 visas!

Although it says Centrelink will forward the acceptance letter to Immi I’m sure I read somewhere that you should upload it to them as well. That’s certainly what we did. Better safe than sorry.

    Good luck [emoji4]

  13. When you are asked to pay the final payment for the 143 visa, is it 28 working days or 28 days including weekends and holidays to pay it?
    Does anyone know about this.

    Hi Linda,

The letter from Immi which has the second vac invoice attached states you have ‘28 days after the day on which you are taken to have received this letter’ to make payment. I took that to mean 28 days not 28 working days.

  14. Hello all
just a bit info needed from the forums users that have already been granted the 143 visa
received the acceptance letter from centrelink today it stated on the letter that they have notified department of home affairs
just wondering after the second vac is paid what is the process as regards leaving the country or is this nessary
    regards to all

    Hi Kevvo,

Congratulations on getting to this stage. Although your acceptance letter states that Centrelink have notified Immi you still need to scan and upload the letter to the PVC. Once this is done you will receive the request to pay the second vac. We received our request on a Thursday. On the Friday we booked a 10 day trip to Bali. We paid our second vac by BPay on the Sunday and uploaded our travel itinerary. We flew to Bali at 7am on the Monday. By the time we landed and checked into our hotel our visas were granted.

I do believe you have to leave the country to receive the visa grant. Some on the forum have said that Immi request a travel itinerary before they grant the visa but we ‘took the bull by the horns’ and arranged our trip before they asked us to.

    Good luck!

    David
  15. Hello all
as regards the second vac payment both my daughter and myself just back from centrelink office where we gave them the bank guarantee letter from Comm bank , After a bit of chat between all the staff there the lady said she scanned the document and uploaded it to my daughter centrelink file for further processing
what I want to know is this correct or do I need to contact my case officer or what happens next if someone whom has recently completed this can they advise
    Regards to all

    Hi Kevvo,

The next step will be your daughter (assuming she is your assurer) receiving the AoS acceptance letter from Centrelink. Once you get this you must scan it and email it to the PVC. My guess is the acceptance letter will take a week or so to come. There’s no need to contact your case officer until the acceptance letter arrives.

    Good luck!

  16. Does anyone know how to upload to Centrelink online account? i selected upload document, then choose other document, then document type: Financials. Is it correct?
I have scanned all documents including bank guarantee, account information, and their letter with a bar code.

    Hi Suzy,

My daughter uploaded to ‘Financials’. We also took the hard copies of the documents into the local branch of Centrelink. We are not sure which method worked but one of them (or both) must have.

    Good luck.

  17. Hi All,just wondering how many docs we need to upload to my gov centrelink after we paid the bank bond at CBA?and none of the docs have a reference to my Centrelink reference not sure if thats the case? And do i need to inform centrelink after my upload? Many thanks

The main thing to upload is the bank guarantee. We also uploaded the confirmation of opening the bank account and the sum of money deposited. We uploaded documents via our daughters MyGov account and we also took the originals into the local Centrelink office.
