  1. Really? So when he goes back he can sponsor me (he did say he would and wanted to) but I feel vulnerable with him doing it as though I love him dearly I assumed if anything happened to us I'd have to return? So once the visa is about to end can I re apply for myself even if we are or are not together and if so what's the chances of me getting one? Sorry I'm looking at all angles

  2. Guess I may have to persuade my partner to marry me (which I don't want to as I always vowed I'd never get married again.... And he knows this!)he's going back in 3 weeks and I said if I gonna do it I'll do it by myself... Guess I'm gonna struggle... He's back at Christmas so I may have another idea by then, and I'm out in July for a month. Damn it's gonna be hard I think

  3. Lol I've never had any intention on sponging now nor in 2 years, and I thought it was 10 years? I thought uk should adopt the same idea :). I have enough money for at least a year or 2 to rent and be out of work but I'd rather work and keep my savings to settle there and put down roots if I can

  4. Yes your right of course, up to date experience is very essential I know, just hope there would be a way round it, well a better way I mean... Hey maybe they will bring back the £10 Pom deal! (Only joking) it's annoying as I've got experience in a few things but the profession I'd love to further is not enough without experience

  5. That's kinda true, over in uk u have to be certified and know property law etc, we hold keys, value properties not just for sale but probate and divorce, then pretty much the same as au for financing etc, we have to know the property and area and we get a wage and commission... Reading some of the job adverts on seek I assumed it was very similar as a wage and commission is offered? If there's too many real estates then why is it on the skills list? Maybe it will be off in July then when the list changes

  7. So my idea of migrating to the East Coast as a dental nurse didn't work out so I'm going with my second option.... I'm a qualified real estate agent in the uk and have 5 years experience al be it some is more than 10 years ago, I've just signed up here (in the uk) again to get myself re certified and will have that within the next 6 months. Can anyone tell me how competitive the the jobs market is as I think I may still need a sponsor? Any help or advice would be appreciated

  8. No I'm in the uk, but would love to work in what I've been trained to do, as it's the only job I've enjoyed doing and I'm getting too old to re train for something else and would know what other career I'd like to do

  9. If he doesn't get his rrv then will have to go down that road but I personally want to check out my other options if that makes sence , I know there are a huge amount of dentists out there and dental assistants vacancies are always being advertised, my partners daughter is qualified and works in Brisbane and she is always saying how nurses are in demand

  10. I'm wondering and hoping that dental nurses will appear on the skills list this year 2016, what's the chances of it as from what I've been told there are not enough in Aus ...

  11. So as I said earlier, it's ties to Australia that count.

He's got a house and family in australia and a dad and other family and works over here, but the concern is what if he can't renew his rrv? He wants to eventually move back there permanently but if it's not renewed then he may have to live there soon and only visit uk ?

  12. Establishing current or compelling ties to Australia is necessary to gain RRV.

Marrying someone who lives in another country doesn't really assist in that.

Or am I missing something in your plan?

He lives between the 2 countries mostly in uk and his rrv is running out he could sponsor me to go out there but I'm not ready to go yet so he needs another rrv to continue coming over here
