My wife would most likely like to meet up during the daytime with any other ladies on here. We're newish here in the Sunny coast (8 months). We live in Brightwater and kid goes to Brightwater school. Matthew Flinders is supposedly a great school @Jocelyn Scully , all the big bosses at work send their kids there
Your wife would be very welcome to join us on dog walk and coffee. A dog isn't a prerequisite. Just ask her to PM contact details.

Jocelyn,
Our children are 14 year old boy and 16 year old daughter. They attend Mountain Creek High School and enjoy it. Mooloolaba is a great place to start your trip, a real holiday destination. I work in the local hosp so give me a ring when u get here if u need any info. Happy flight. Katy

Hi Jocelyn,
How exciting for you nearly here. Mooloolaba is a great place to arrive to. We are not far away, presently renting in Buddina. It would be lovely to catch up when u arrive. Do you know what school your daughter is starting in? Well you will be arriving at the start of some beautiful weather. We haven't been here for a Summer yet are a bit anxious re humidity but we do love it. If there is anything we can help with let us know. Katy

H Carol, I am not living local but just want to congratulate you on such a brave move. I am sure when you get there there will be clubs etc you can join. If you have the confidence to move I have every faith in things working out for you. Good Luck

Sorry I cant help with the rental but I have a question for you. We are planning also on moving to Kawana Waters or thereabouts March/April. I have done some research on schools in the area and have come up with Mountain Creek and State Chancellor as good local schools. I have never heard any comments on Kawana Waters State School. Presumably you are happy with the decision or wouldn't be enrolling your children there. Can you give me any information on it. Any info will be greatly received.

Look at Mountain Creek or Chancellor State College - both are excellent - but unless you live in the catchment you stand no chance of getting in. Chancellor is superb.
Thanks for that I will make sure I rent in the appropriate catchment area.

Well who knows it might be me who can advise on schools when I get there. Always good to stay in touch

Hi I am moving to Sunshine coast hopefully next march/april. My partner and I have two teenage children age 14/15yrs. Hoping to work at the new hospital so looking at Kawana Waters to live. It looks nice on the computer but so does everywhere else. Local schools are Kawana Waters High School and Mountain Creek High School. Any thoughts? Any reason why I would put my children into private schools? We will be arriving on NZ passports so the kids will not be entitled to student loans any other ways of obtaining loans other than scholarships? Any advice gratefully accepted:wink:

Hi All, Planning on moving from NZ to Sunshine coast March/April next year. Looked on line at areas and like the look of Kawana Waters as will hopefully get a job at the new hospital. I will be taking my 15year old daughter and 14 year old son and have done some research on line and identified Kawana Waters High School and Mountain Creek High School. Any comments on these schools? Any reason why I would need to look at private schools? Any info welcome. Thanks
Sunshine Coast or Brisbane??

I live in the Sunshine Coast with partner and kids. We are both nurses also. We love it. It has the best of both worlds with lots of options. Although work can be difficult to get, as nurses we are quite fortunate as there are many options. Feel free to ask anything re work.
