  1.

Hi saacor and others,Its been 8 months 6 days since i applied . still waiting. I think all old cases should be cleared in july since new capping has now enforced and more and more slots are now availableLets hope we all get our grants injuly.Mechy
DIBP has really slowed down... from the average of 76 days... they will prbably go toward 130 days within next three month. (based on the tracking info)
  2. doesn't mean lot in our situation by the looks of it, but it shows where they're currently at. it's showing that people have had their visa granted, since submitted their application before/ and up to the 10th June.

"The tables below list the earliest lodgement dates for applications that have been allocated to processing teams. You can use this information to determine when your application will be allocated and to ensure your application is complete and ready for assessment."

Which is highly annoying because they're having a 1 month turn around.

I think I should stop looking at these things, its giving false hope. I think i'll:cry:soon.

these dates are quite off the real processing times, most of the applicants wait roughly 75 days.

  3. hm, you should have been invited in the second round back in December... do you regularly check you e-mail?

You might have had an ITA, but missed it... 2 times actually - your profile then becomes in-active as far as i know.

Plenty of people get invited with 60 points.

  4. Ours was close to three months I think. They don't necessarily leave the UK port immediately and are held up slightly at the AU port as well, and then they need to be delivered to your home (they arrive in Melbourne).

There's no way it would arrive in 2-3 weeks by sea - it's a very long way and they stop off at other ports enroute.

Thanks everyone for your replies. So I should expect to get it delivered within roughly 8-12 weeks.

That's perfect, just enough time for me to get there and rent a place.

  5. Hi guys,

Got my grant a few days ago and now packing my stuff. I am planning to buy Large International MoveCube service from Air Seven Seas, i've called them up and they are saying it would take anything between 71 - 87 days to get it delivered to Sydney.

What worries me is that I was reading some forums and guys are saying that sometimes they deliver within 2-3 weeks instead of these 80+ days... I simply won't be there that quick, I am working in Germany and need to finalize things here...

Can someone who used their service recently comment on how long it actually took Seven Seas Worldwide to deliver?

Another question I have is how long for do they leave the cube at our place to get it loaded?

    Thanks

  6. Congratulations x

You are next inline Stephanie - hopefully next week.

  7. Well, i saw so many guys with criminal convictions getting their visas - some had one, others had few convictions in the past - none crossing the 12 month custodial sentence requirement. I think barrystock gonna be all right with his visa.

Mingi Reigo - you may have some issues, as indeed, they consider suspended sentences as custodial sentences, but can you clarify, do you mean "suspended sentences", "conditional discharge" or "Conditional sentence". These are three different things (well, at least in the UK Criminal Law)

In case of a conditional sentence it may mean such things as community service for example or curfew - so in a case if a person is convicted to 360 hours of unpaid work then this person may be given 2 years to complete this. In such a case it will not (i assume so at leat) be considered custodial sentence of over 12 months.

    Good luck guys

  8. we submitted out EOI at the end of July and our application was processed on the 25th of October. obviously we'd already completed a skills assessment and IELTS prior to this. All of this however has been a long process, it's been in the pipeline for about 6 years. We went to our first downunder live in 2011 and I first spoke to a visa specialist in 2009. Trained as an electrician, moved to Bristol from Cornwall as the work slowed down in Cornwall and I needed to complete my quals.

It all seemed so far off not that long ago and it's now finally here!!!!

Nice to see fellow bristolian getting a grant ;) i wondered if you were from bristol seeing "wookey hole" :) good luck in Oz!

  9. Could you explain why you would expect it in the next 10 days? I'm a few weeks behind the poster you replied to in my timeline. Everything has been submitted and I'm just waiting on a grant, we were assigned a case officer and the Medicals and police checks were all submitted and on the system by the 4th of December.

Just curious as i've seen people still waiting to hear back from as far back as September.

I base my estimate on the visa tracker (one of the web-sites), according to the tracker DIBP currently processing cases with CO contact date on or around 5th of November. According to the davesh1s' signature he has been contacted on the 9th of November - so I would expect him to receive his grant within next 10 days.

Obviously, there are certain cases when CO takes much-much longer to process (or vice-versa very processes really quick) , but if he is an "average applicant" - then he should receive a grant soon.

Current 28 days review cycle (after CO contacts you) is somewhere around 28-90 days for about 80%+ of applicants.

  10. Did CO request anything?!

in theory you should get your grant within next 10 days.

    Hi All,

Still waiting here for my grant, but I have a bit of an update I would like some opinion on.

I have been in Australia over christmas visiting and I got to speak with the director of a company that is interested in hiring me. Long story short - I had skype interviews earlier in the year and they offered me a job on 457 sponsorship but it fell through (timing wasn't right). Anyway, I told them I'm expected to receive my 189 very soon and they have offered me a job, as long as I get my visa grant and I can be in the country within the next 4-5 weeks. They can't wait any longer than that and have a pile of CV's on their desk.

My question is - Is there any way I can contact IMMI to tell them that I need my visa asap otherwise my job offer will lapse if I don't get it in time? There's a potential career job on the line here!!

  11. Hey Everybody,

My husband and I got picked up in the September invitation round and case completed on 05 Nov. I've been keeping an eye on the forum and looks like quite a few with similar timelines have had their visa grant in the last couple of weeks. We've just exchanged contracts for our house sale (which we would be doing whether we are moving to OZ or not) but we would really like to go end of Jan/beginning of Feb. Any advice for a very frazzled and anxious me still waiting?

Our dates: EOI July. Invitation received 07/09/15 189 application submitted 10/09/15. Allocated CO 19/10/15. UK police checks received 04/11/15. Medicals completed: 27/10/15. Case Complete: 05/11/15.

    Thanks!

Your CO should look at your file anytime now, they have been processing cases with CO contact date between (roughly) 20.10 - to about 5.11 (there are some outstanding cases for September as well, but only few of them are remaining) - so I guess you would receive your grant very soon.

  12. Just wondered if anyone knows when you receive the grant do you have to give them dates when you fly ? Eg have to book flights once granted.

As u have just seen on the spouse visa people had 28days to give them dates when they were flying out.

No, I have never heard of such, the only condition is that you have to enter before your IED.

  13. Congrats on getting your grants x
