Hello everyone! I finally had my PR granted today
457 to 186 transition, HR country, Marketing Coordinator
nomination 16th Nov 2015, Visa 17th Nov 2015, both approved today
documents requested on the 27th of May (contract, payslips, annual leave records) submitted 31st of May 2016, approved today
thank you for posting your updates and timelines and for all the support, this forum was one of the only things keeping me sane! Good luck to everyone waiting, hope you get your visas ASAP.

Hi everyone,
I was told by MA that technically, CO will only consider application again in 28 days after CO requested for further information/doc. Anyone got result earlier than 28 days since further info/doc was requested?. It has been 21 days since CO requested further info/doc. Thank you
That's what my agent said too, in fact she said it can take longer. 33 days here, no news yet

Very slow wk....sometimes i feel immi is very insensitive....they shuld try to finish all applications within 6-8 mths....even those cases where docs hve been requested...that way we wont b that desperate and hopeless and frustrated....we put so much in stake for PR....we are so much under stress, our relationships are affected, our job affected ....please immi, try to hasten up things ....not to exceed 8 mths for anyone ....
It's so strange that they take so long to finish a file after documents have been submitted. You think they would want to finish pending applications as quickly as possible? Hang in there, hopefully we hear from them by the end of this week

Is it just me or does the November section on the spreadsheet look funny? Have some of the rows been hidden?

Today - I became a permanent resident of Australia. For anyone feeling frustrated or worn - hang in there. Once someone opens your application, it all happens very quickly. They requested docs last Monday (one police certificate), it arrived today, uploaded it today, and approved today.
They appear to be very efficient. Make sure EVERYTHING they need is already uploaded! Good luck to you all.

This waiting in limbo is so hard. I don't even care what the decision is anymore. I just want one so that I can put my daughter in a school I know she'll be able to stay in a restore some stability to our lives...

Hi Swoosh,
i have applied recently to renew my passport and i would suggest you to take an appointment to submit personally rather opting post services, this way you can save upto 10 working days and if any issues with the application you can fix right on the counter and it wont disrupt or delay your 186 processing but the fact is IMMI will not grant visa until you submitted fresh passport.

It is frustrating 7 months waiting for the PR.
I have heard from an applicant that the "Quota" for this financial year is almost over and it may take another 2 months for his / mine application to progress further (apparently his MA told him this). :arghh:
Did anyone hear something similar from their MA?
There is a quota? On the number of PRs granted?

Quick update guys, my employer was asked today for an employment contract (although it was originally provided) and leave records. So they are making progress. Who knows when they will come back to the application once these are submitted though lol!

I have grant the Nomination & visa on 25th May 2016. I didn't use services of ma. I did my nomination & visa by myself.
Thanks guys for always supporting & cheering up who r frustrated & impatiently waiting for their turn to be australian citizen.

But I have not heard anything from my Migration Agent yet.

I took a short break to CAIRNS as I was in tremendous mental pressure since I heard that I got a really fussy CO.
Came back to work this morning after holiday and my Boss just advised me that my Nomination (only) got approved yesterday (24th May)
I was under impression that My Nomination and Visa was lodged in same day. (23rd OCT)
But I found on the approval letter that NOM was lodged 20th OCT.
Nom lodged: - 20th OCT
Visa Lodged: - 23rd OCT
Docs Requested : - Amended contract with AWARD RATE on 20th April.
Docs Submitted : - 21st April.
Nom Approved : - 24th May
Visa Approval : - WAITING

After 191 days of waiting finally got my visa today. nearly 7 years from the first day arriving at Australia.
Thank you for everyone who shared their information and supported each other here on this forum. Hope everyone will get their visa soon!

Hey all,Just an update - nominated granted! If only it was Visa!
Lodged nomination on 23/09/15, learned in March that it was lodged under the wrong stream (Direct as apposed to TRTS) told by 4 different sources including immi helpline that changing stream was not possible. Received letter from DIBP asking for more documents on the 19/3/2015 was asked for more documents ( 2 years full-time, no exclusion of extending contract, Detailed position description, Training criteria for businesses and proof that my employment was no less favourable then that of an Australian). This was without changing stream. Emailed processing office and they advise they could change stream and please send in email. I had asked for confirmation in the email that the stream was changed and waiting to upload documents. No confirmation came so called and was advised it had been changed so uploaded documents on 15/04. Still had heard nothing on the 17/5 so emailed and asked for an update. Processing Office called my company on the 18th just to clarify i was being nominated under the TRT stream and sent approval that afternoon.
Will be lodging Visa today- and the waiting begins again. Does anyone have any experience of having nomination approved and then lodging Visa? I keep dreaming that the visa will be approved super quick now but who knows! Also feel like that was probably the hardest part. Has anyone got any experience in having issues once nomination is approved?
Thanks all and stay strong, its waiting that is the killer, but there is comfort in knowing it will happen eventually

Hey lucky13!! Thank you and Congratulations to you too! I wait waiting to see when your visa would be granted! Haha yes, our timelines were so similar, It's quite possible we had the same CO.
