recently made redundant on a 457 visa, with over 3 years left on it. Struggling to find an employer who will take it over.

Does anyone know of any companies hiring a Mechanical Fitters on 457?

I'm checking seek and agencies daily.

Hi, has anyone had their 457 visa transferred over to new employer then decided not to take offer of employment?

If so what we're the repercussions? Do you start your 90 days to find new sponsor again?

If you have accepted offer and started 457 transfer and another job offer arised, are you able to cancel the previous application?

Any info would be great fully appreciated. I know I could possibly find these answers from immigration helpline but we all know what they are like.

I'm a mechy fitter on a 457 Visa but just been made redundant, I've been searching job websites and speaking to recruitment agencies but there doesn't seem to be anything about.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has found themselves in this situation recently and if so how did you go?

Also does anyone know of any companies currently looking for mechanical fitters and willing to take on 457?

I have started the ball rolling to apply for PR but just waiting on skills assessment etc In the meantime I'm keen to get back to work.
