Hi all,
We have moved here a few weeks ago and are currently renting a fully furnished flat. Beginning of August we will be moving and need a whole household ?
So I'm in need of a bed, childrens bed, couch fridge freezer, washing machine etc.
If anyone is moving back and is selling their items, please let me know.
Thanks,
Ilka

Hi,
We took our passports and the letters, can't remember taking anything else. Tell him to have a look at his visa online application , I think in the health section should be his number and just ring in the morning before he attends. Our nurses were really friendly and helpful. I worried a lot and I didn't need to. They were lovely and professional, general examination with the doctor, bloods taken and an x-ray.
Good luck.

Hi AJ
No we haven't got anything booked yet. If we had a hotel booked we could use that but we haven't.

Hi all,
We are ready to move and our boxes will be collected on Tuesday. It's just that we haven't got an address in perth yet (no work or friends either ) but need a perth address by Tuesdays. What's best to do?
Any advise is appreciated
Thanks Ilka

Hello all,
We have our Visa and I will be moving with my husband beginning of May.
I'm a physiotherapist but not registered with the Australian body and from what I gather it's a rather long process.
Before working as a Physiotherapist I worked with children and young adults with metal and physical disabilities and gained my NVQ level3 in health and social care and medication certificate. So now I'm wondering if there are jobs I can apply for with my NVQ level3?
Thanks everyone,
Ilka

Ok thanks,
But he has his JIB licence/card.

Ok,
So who would they be reviewed by? As I thought when you do your skills assessment they were reviewing it.
I'm confused now.

Hi,
Thanks Joy. Where do I find out the "date deemed skilled"?
He's passed his skills assessment. He's worked as an electrician since being in the Army 2002-2007 and then done his City and Guilds level 3 for electrical Installations in 2007 before starting work in Civi street. He's been employed as an electrician ever since.

Hi we are applying for are 189 too and I have just submitted our Visa application. I have printed out our e - medicals as it stated that we need them and am about to make an appointment. When looking for the closest medical centre, I noticed that it said to not use my health declaration until being contacted your case officer otherwise it could delay the application. Now I'm confused. How did you get on with yours?Hope you get your visa soon.

Thanks
I'll look into this, as future skills never mentioned anything. We're planning to go to Perth, so he can enjoy working in the sunshine

Thanks Skyba,
My husband has successfully passed his skills assessment in September with Future skills ?they have been very helpful.
He passed his basic electrician course in 2004 and did his city and guilds level 3 certs in the requirement for electrical installations in 2007 therefore we are claiming 10years work experience.
We are also claiming 10 points for his qualifications; as when we filled in our EOI we put his qualifications down as other = "You can receive 10 points for any other qualification or award which is recognised as suitable for your nominated occupation in your skills assessment by the relevant assessing authorit"(that's copied from the Visa points page).
I was just wondering it that was the right thing to do,but assuming from him receiving his positive skills assessment that his qualifications are recognised.
Good luck with your Visa application, hope everything goes well ☺
Where about do you want to go?
Mamailks?

Hello everyone
I'm new here and it's my first threat so please bear with me. My husband is an electrician and has done his skills assessment. When filling in our EOI I have put in his qualifications "recognised by assessing authority" and we got 10 points for that. Now I'm filling in our Visa application form and it is ready to be submitted. I have been checking it over and over again and think I have everything correct; but I'm now unsure about his qualification. I thought that by sending it to the TRA and him being invited for his practical skills assessments that means that they have recognised his qualification . Am I right or is there anything else we should have done to get them recognised?
Thanks
I know that there might be a similar threat out there, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find one ?
One Visa application, but seperate citizenship application?

Hello everyone,
my husband and I immigrated 6 years ago and I'm applying for our citizenship. We came on the same Visa. However when I'm filling out the citizenship application form I can't add myself to it. Only our children.
Do I need to apply via a seperate application form or is there a way I can be added to his?
Thanks everyone
