Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check it out.

That sounds like a lot. Best quote I've had so far is £4900 for our own 40ft container from Simpsons.

I have to say it's been great having this forum to follow and see who's getting granted and when. It's really giving me hope. I think our plan now is to head off in 10 weeks on 20th Jan. Eek so much to plan!

I did send a begging email to my CO about 2 weeks ago as I was worried if have to send my 4 year old ahead on her own to start school.

You go straight to PR if your de facto with kids too

Can anyone with kids who've applied tell me if they've been granted their permanent 100 visas around the same 8-9 month mark or are these visas taking longer? I was really hoping we would get granted around the 9 month mark but remembered last night that as we've got two kids my partner is eligible for the permanent visa straight away. Are there taking longer to process anyone know?

Great news you must be delighted. X

Just check. I think the wait times on applying for an onshore partner visa are even longer than the UK ones! 12-14 months this I think. You may need a bridging visa of some kind. You may need to speak to an agent to help.

Were re hopefully moving back around Australia Day pending the visa coming through before xmas for my partner. We'll be living with my parents in South Freo initially but then moving to western suburbs (Doubleview or Wembley) as my daughter starts primary school in Feb in city beach. So excited now!
Sounds a bit like what we did. We lived in Gee Cross, sold the house privately and moved in with the in-laws for a few weeks over Christmas. Flew out in February with Singapore Airlines, had a few days in Singapore, then on to Perth.People bought us loads of stuff at Christmas, a massive scaletrix kit for our 2 year old was one, which we had to bring with us. We had loads of luggage and ended up posting a lot of stuff from Singapore as someone said the Airline would charge us a lot of excess baggage. It all arrived in Perth safe and sound though.
Good luck. exciting times.

We applied just before you. Seems they have speeded up a bit lately on the processing and they are getting through them in 8.5 to 9 months on the straight forward cases. So excited now!

I feel Ya. We applied for my partners visa early March. Myself and the two kids all have Oz passports so it's just his visa we need and we can head home! I can't wait. Daughter starts school in Feb so I praying we get notified before xmas so we can get back in Jan.
