Hello All,
As mentioned many a times in the past. Please update the timeline spread sheet as soon as possible. This helps everyone get an idea on what to expect. Just a few minutes to fill out a few details can give a great insight into the long and frustrating wait process.
Special thanks to those who maintain / cleanse and update the spread sheet.

Calling DIBP - Please ReadToday we have spoke to an official at DIBP who as asked us to please remind members to stop calling the processing centre number that has been published on the forum. They have been receiving calls non stop and it is causing delays in processing because the officers are constantly on the phone to applicants. He followed on and said that the phone number is only intended for people whose visa's have already been allocated, and have queries other than 'what's the visa status' and not for unallocated visas. He advised that he and his colleagues are happy to answer any queries fromallocated applicantsbut it is wearing them down (and wasting their time) repeating the same message "your application isn't allocated yet".People with queries should check the website in the first instance and if the information is not there then to email the department. He said that he doesn't want to dissuade people with genuine concerns and problems from calling, because that is the whole purpose of having the number available in the first place, but the officers have enough to do as it is.So please members, if you want your visa quickly please let the department do their job and hold back on the phone calls.
The above quote is from one of the group moderators. Please do not contact DIBP via call or email , it just increases their workload and increases the processing time.

please read and understand the above. Please do not call & email the dibp unnecessarily -- i just increases their work load and increases the visa processing time.
Thank you !!!

Hello All,
Please stop messing up the Google Docs Spread sheet, if you are not sure of what data to populate -- ***PLEASE DONT POPULATE & POST HERE --- SOMEONE WILL DO IT FOR YOU *** it has taken a lot of time and effort by lots of members to maintain the integrity and quality of the data. Please stop messing it up.
And Please do not call Immigration Department HELPLINE -- it just ads to the work load for Case officers, it ends up delaying application processing.
Thanks !!!
