Hi I cancelled my ticket to Pakistan

Last update from AHC islamabad is "some of the departmental clearances are awaited about your visa application & whenever we will receive those your application will be finalised"

I don't know what that mean or how long its going to take.

I did not mean to wait for lodging application, rather i mean, i should have waited bit more before deciding to to visit Pakistan.

giving it second thought about visit to Pakistan. I have booked for 18 Jan 2016 but I am just stressed out don't know what to do.

I did called AHC today they say it is in queue for decision. But they have been saying this for last 2 months.

Did u have any complications in your case?

No Complications I am Australian Citizen never overstayed in Australia or any other country has permanent Job Wife is applying for Australian Visa for the first time she never overstayed in any other country.

All additional documents required in September were submitted to AHC within 4 days of request. Still no response

My Wife had 2 interviews in September and November DOL 30/12/2014 still no response for last 2 months AHC is saying case is with decision maker GOD knows what is happening . I don't trust staff at AHC Islamabad anyway

That seems very strange that you are waiting for 13 months. There need to be reason for this delay. Why they interviewed second time

Well we do not know the case officer and AHC Islamabad is saying there multiple people working on the case which sounds absolutely stupid or if they have changed there operating procedures than its another stupid decision on part of Australian Government institution which will not surprise me.

Did you apply online here in australia?

Yes I applied Online but application goes to applicant's home country for processing in this case pakistan.

My wife applied for spouse visa on 22th April 2015, Interview was done in May, Additional documents provided in June 2015 and embassy informed

that it is ready for final decision back in Sep 2015. Since then, no update. On enquiry, they refused visitor visa after long wait of 5 months.

 

 

This is my second marriage, Does this matter for grant? Also, my wife has previous visa refusal from a different country, should this matter?

 

 

I have waited for 8 months, really missing my wife and planning to visit back to pakistan for a month.

 

 

This visit will cost me around 15K in terms of lost salary, double expenses etc . Sometimes, i think i should have waited another

2-3 months so that they can make decision. But again, i have seen people waiting for more than 12 moths.

I am in same boat as you. This is my first marriage and had no visa refusal for my wife DOL 30/12/2014. Waiting would no have made difference I was married in mid sep 2014 and applied in December so I can provide evidence for financial support and contact while a part. Our file did not get opened until sep 2015 requested further documents which were provided within 4 days. My wife had second interview start of November 2015. since than no update except phone operator told it is in queue for decision.

Few days ago I applied for visitor visa but it will mos likely get refused. I have booked a trip to Pakistan for mid January since AHC Islamabad has shown such good attitude when asking for updates on case.

All we can do is wait

I applied for my Wife visa at the end of December and she finally had a call from AHC about a week ago and asked for some documents to be submitted in 7 days which i submitted in 3 days but no contact since than also there were EID holidays.

Are you male applicant or female? Which date did you applied in December. Also did they just interviewed you or your spouse as well.

Sorry I should have explained it a bit, there is no 'decision ready' checklist. Just follow the checklist available on AHC website, provide all documents/evidence/statutory declaration in one go & you should be good. I even submitted my PCC too but couldn't do medical as I did not know me HAP ID. So if you submit everything mention in the checklist + PCC+ Medical then this is Decision Ready file, subject to no further requirement from CO/AHC.

Oh dear... Don't worry. It's not longggg.. To be honest, I am amazed how things have changed in past few years, when I applied I made a Decision Ready file except me medical & got grant in less than 6 months, no interview or anything so I don't know what is happening these days with regards to Partner Visa. I really pray all who are waiting, get their grant soon.

Hi aussiegirlbay just wanted to know some information about decision ready checklist. I followed all ISLAMABAD AHC visa checklist for 309 visa and provided all the evidence but I did not provided decision check list I needed to know how can I provide decision ready checklist.

Thanks aussiegirlbay I just wanted to contact them because AHC ISB do not seem to care the way they talk and other members on the forum have at least got an interview call or CO assigned to them my wife visa medical was submitted in jan 2015 and will expire in 12 months she will have to travel for 7 hours each way to the closes medical center considering the fact AHC ISB did do any thing to the application.

I have been reading this forum for a while and this is mi first ever post. I have a question. I am an Australian citizen and I got married in Sep 2014 and applied for my wife's partner visa online in Dec 2014 provided medical and biomatrics in Jan 2015 but we have not been contacted by the Islamabad high commission at all. I have called islamabad couple of times all they say is do not worry we will contact you when we need. should i be worried its been 7.5 months and not even initial contact by high commission or I should contact immigration department here in Australia to get any answers.
