  1. HI Captain C,

    this is my EOI:

    1. ANZSCO code: 221111

    2. Occupation: Accountant General

    3. Points score: 75

    4. Date of submission of the EOI: 10/11/2015

Any change for EOI anytime this year?

    Thank you!!

I'd say you get invited on next round. though still depends on other 75+ pointers.

  2. Hi guys,

So my CO was allocated yesterday. She emailed me and asked me to email them police certificates, however I have already uploaded them on my immi account. It sounds a bit odd, what do you think guys? She can't see the uploaded documents or what?

    Cheers

  3. Hi Everyone

I lodged my visa application in 5th October 2015. and still I was not allocated to a case officer. Normally how long it takes to allocate a case officer? we have already done the medicals

    thank you!

I lodged my application for 189 on 23/Oct/2015 and yesterday on 10/Nov/2015, my case officer emailed me and asked me for more documents. So basically, it took 17 days for case officer allocation in my case though.

  4. How did you work out that date?

65+ EOI's will continue to roll in and as far as I know the public have no way of knowing how many 60 point applications are sitting in the queue?

What he tries to say is that if 60 pointers would be invited in November rounds, the hope for getting invitation for 60 pointers throughout the next year would be increased. I actually agree with him, however we never know how many 65+ pointers might apply!

  5. An unusual step for DIBP has been noted this morning. They have released the data from the Oct 23rd round already.

Again only 25 invitations were issued to Accountants. I'm not sure about the other pro rata occupations as I didn't record the data from the last update and now it has been updated again!

Pro rata occupations have a minimum point of 65 with the exception of accountants which remains at 70.

2613xx occupations look the most likely to drop back down to 60 at some point, but it does appear that the department has deliberately kept the minimum points to 65 due to the date of effect being exactly 24 hours before the round, which is the actual cut off for the round.

Accountants 2211xx and system analyst 2611xx are showing no real signs of improvement and continue to have very high demand. Personally I don't see these occupations getting a drop in the points back to 60 again before the start of the new programme year (1st July 2016).

Also, based on the ever increasing demand and lack of employment opportunities for accountants, I suspect that this will be the final year for accountants on the SOL, and I think that the occupation is highly likely to be removed in the 2016/17 programme year.

Thanks for this explanation. Just a random question, I lodged my application on 23/Oct/2015 however my ACS assessment expires on 9/Dec/2015. Just wondering if this expiry date has any negative impact on my visa grant? I mean I'm worried that maybe the process of visa grant would take longer than ACS assessment expiry date.

  6. Hi guys,

So today the result of 23 Oct round has been published on :

    http://www.border.gov.au/WorkinginAustralia/Pages/SkillSelect-23-October-2015-Round-Results.aspx

As you can see, the cut-off DOE for 2613xx is 22/Oct/2015 with 65 points. What it means is that all 65 pointers have been cleared (except 23/Oct) since last invitation round and for the next round, it is very likely that 60 pointers get invited on November rounds. It is hard to say how many invitations could be sent though as everything depends on the number of 65+ pointers.

However I think those 60 pointers with DOE on May have a good chance for invitation.

  7. Currently running at around 4 months wait time. However the minimum points are standing at 65 at this time.

There is insufficient data to say whether this is likely to come back to 60 before the new financial year, and even if it does there will be a large backlog of 60 point applicants ahead of you.

I think with the current pace, it takes at least 4-6 months to get invitation for a recent 261313 - 60 pointer; even longer...

  8. I did not have to submit payslips to ACS as part of my skills assessment. I only had to submit my employer reference letter along with my (huge) Report of Prior Learning essay. I then uploaded the same to IMMI after applying and paying VAC. I chose to upload the payslips myself just to ensure that the CO could see I was still in full time employment with the same employer. I didn't do 17 years worth though.. just the last 3 pay periods. Can't speak for all, but all worked out fine for me as I got a Direct grant.

A random question, did you manage to upload your cv? Am I supposed to do so?

  9. Dom't worry about it at all. After your case officer is assigned, he would contact you via email and ask you to send them any related documents. You are totally fine now.On top of that, case officers are usually flexible people and help you out if they need any more documents.

I've just done my 189 application. It asked for pay slips (could be something else, but that was on the list). I uploaded quite a few off them.

My application is for 189 as well! I was not asked for payslip though!

  10. Thanks Amir HK! That's a sigh of relief. Time is of the essence now and I don't want to cause any delays with my application as much as possible. I'm just really wondering that if I reach 60 files uploaded, will the system actually block me from further attaching more files.

Just curious, how far are you with your visa application and under which occupation? Or have you been granted your visa already? :)

I live in Australia at the moment , I came to Australia as student and graduated last year. Then got my 189 invitation on 23 October and lodged it with all documents except medical. I will probably book medical test tomorrow :)

Anyway, as of now, this is my third oz visa and I have been always treated very well by case officers; they always asked me to send any related documents through email. So be optimistic, you'll be fine!

Also I am just wondering why you want to upload your work payslips! It sounds a bit odd, because you only need to upload your assessed work experience done by related Australian Organization. For instance, ACS is in charge of assessing work experience for IT applicants. I have never seen someone upload payslips!

  11. Hi everyone! Received an invitation to apply for a 189 visa last Friday, October 23. Paid the visa fees and uploaded my documents last Saturday. Based on the guidelines for this type of visa, there is a limit of 60 files that can be uploaded with each file not exceeding 5MB. I wanted to upload more documents such as payslips as there are a lot of them from working for almost 10 years but had to limit due to the restrictions. I am extremely worried now as I wanted to provide as much proof as I can. Also, needed to leave slots for my medicals and police checks.

Did anyone of you experience the same concerns? If so, how did you got about it? I did not notice anything on the ImmiAccount screen counting the no. of files uploaded so I am wondering if anyone actually uploaded more than 60.

  12. Thanks very much for the reply. That's what I thought. However when I look at the "Date of Effect" on my EOI landing page it says 08/09, but the PDF of the actual EOI when downloaded from Skillselect says 22/09!

    Hopefully we're both right! :)

I had the same issue! Do not worry about that at all, your EOI date of effect is 08/09 for sure. In fact, DOE on your landing page is the correct one. I had exact issue 2 weeks ago and after I got invitation, I found that the generated PDF shows incorrect DOE.

  13. It's completely up to you.

I would advise you to make a start on filling out form 80. It's a very detailed form which takes some time to complete accurately. Then you can upload it or wait to see if it's asked for.

Bear in mind that most, if not all, HR applicants will be asked for this form. So if this applies to you then I'd say to upload to save time.

    Thanks Capitan for your reply,

May I ask what do you mean by "HR applicants"?

P.S. I am living in Australia at the moment and for my previous visa (Graduate visa), I did upload form 80 and 1221 around 1.5 years ago. I know those should be updated forms though :)

  14. Hi guys,

I got my invitation on 23 October and I need to know if I should to fill out form 80 and 1221 for subclass 189.

The thing is that one of my friends was asked to upload form 80 and 1221 by his case officer. However, another friend of mine told me that his case officer didn't ask him for such forms. What do you think guys? Should i wait for my case officer or it's better for me to fill them out and upload them in advance?

  15. Could it be something to do with your work experience?

Generally if there is no change in points then the DOE stays the same anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Actually I've got no work experience added to my EOI. And yes, points have not changed! Everything looks normal.

  16. Hi Capitan,

Just noticed something odd on my EOI page. Date of effect in front of EOI for 189 is 28/09/2015, however when I click on "view points breakdown" ,DOE is 13/10/2015. my points has not changed and didn't reach any sort of milestone. What do you think? which DOE is correct?

P.S. Last week when I checked "view points breakdown", it was as the same as the other on EOI.
