    hey guys I had applied on April 2015, the immiaccount shows " Application received" , there has been no CO assigned or any other progress. this is quite frustrating. Does anyone on the forum has the same issue

     

    Have you tried calling them? If not, please do so and ask for more details on the progress. I applied in April 2015 too but didn't get it grant until it was 6 months. Yous is now more than 6 months, I believe this might have gone for additional security check. Better to call them and check.

    Still not got my grant :(

     

    Applied 26th June, clicked button after partners medical had been uploaded and cleared on 3rd November. I figured it would be a week/ 2 week turn around now, as essentially they just need to ok it (as they have and have checked all the required documentation) but it's 4 weeks today and I'm losing my patience..

     

    Feeling saaaaad. :(

     

    Don't you worry. You will get it soon. Mine came just about 6 months from the date of lodging, no earlier, no later.

    Hearty congratulations!! It appears that it took exact 6 months for your visa grant from your application submission date. What skill did you apply under? What timeline is given to you to enter Australia?

     

    Thanks Digvijay. Yes, it took exact 6 months . I applied for Computer and System Engineer. The first date of entry is given as 27th May 2016 or before. May 27th 2015 was the date of PCC, so an year from that date.

    Just received grant notification.

    Lodged 22 June; last info provide to case officer 10 August; grant 31 October; great relief to have the process over.

    Hi Guys,

    Just wondering if it takes longer, the more dependents you have. I applied for a 189 visa with my wife and 2 kids as dependents. Lodged last April and last updated last July.

     

    It depends how old the dependents are, If they are young enough to not require a PCC it should not really affect. Do you mean you applied on April 2015 and have something requested by CO on July?

    Hello mickey! Could you help me? I am desesperate. I have an agent and I dont have the change to get my information (because I dont have user). He told me, dont worry, it is a matter of time. But, I have been waiting for 25 weeks without any news. What should I do?

     

    Hi MCBN - There is not much you can do apart from contacting your agent and push him to get updates. It seems some agents have contacts within the department and can gather more information, maybe not the case with your agent.

     

    There is nothing we can do apart from wait....

     

    BTW, which country are you from?

    I have the same problem. I uploaded all the data in may and I dont have any news. What´s going on?

     

    We all are in Limbo my friend... no real status is provided even if you try contacting them, not sure if you have tried contacting them. It is painful waiting for an outcome.

    same here bro, I have applied my visa on 28th April, additional documents were requested on 17th May, than another request was made in mid of August, I submitted my final requested documents on 4th September and have not heard anything since then.... fingers crossed

     

    I share your frustration mate. I was not asked anything, it is just long wait for me.

    Sorry to hear that Mickeyteg, I was thinking about posting a message to you a couple of days back. What have they actually said to you? Were you asked for any further information?

     

    Hello CaptainC. Thanks for your support. They said that every case is different and that there are mandatory checks that may delay the process. It was more of a generic script and nothing specific to my case.

     

    No further information was asked. In fact no email from anyone asking or confirming anything, just a response to my email on status update.

    Hello All,

     

    Starting this thread for friends who are awaiting 189 visa grant. I have applied on 14th May 2015 and still waiting to receive grant. Tried calling couple of time but didn't get much of updates. Just waiting.

    I called them 3 months ago and was informed that my application can proceed once the check results are back to IMMI. Emailed CO 2 months ago and was told IMMI cannot control the time taken to complete the checks so I will have to wait. Is your application under routine checks too? Couldn't think of any other reason why its taking so long.

     

    I am not sure if its under routine check as no one has informed about it. I did ask if it has gone for security check, to which they said they cannot disclose. A lot of time they mentioned that it is under mandatory checks. Ideally they should drop an email informing the applicants that it has gone for external check and will take long, so we don't bother to call them.

     

    It really is frustrating!!!!
