  1. I'm way too early in the process to offer some advice, but I will say I like this new set up. My application says 'Assessment in Progress' but my wife's form (sponsor) still says submitted. I'm taking that to mean they have actually looked at it as opposed to automatically filed it in the queue. I may be wrong though.

Incidentally all of our attachments still say 'Received'.

Yes the setup is much better than before. I am assuming the fact next to my documents it says 'processing' it means they have approved that my partner is who he says he is and they are still working through all of my supporting documents. The radio silence is so difficult I am into month 8 of waiting now as plenty of other people on here are...it is so looooong!

Good luck with your application :)

  2. Hi Magdalena,

We are in a very similar situation to you. My partner applied 12th August 2014, did medicals and police check in February 2015 as requested and was notified of a change of CO last week so our new CO is also LG.

    Good luck with yours!

Let's hope she is kind to us

I also have LG. I applied August 14th. I am waiting for August applicants to start getting their answers from June....it can't come quick enough. It's been a difficult 8 months waiting already, lets hope we all get the answer we want nearer the 10 months too! :)

  3. Hi August,

Look back to page 1083 on this thread where I summarised the status of June 2014 applicants. You will see that some people got their visas granted this month after 8 months and 15 days, whereas mine was at 9 months and 6 days. It is luck of the draw with your CO and their work-load at the time I think.......

Thanks for this! I must have missed that page. Making me feel slightly better knowing it may be closer to the 10 month mark than 14 month mark for everyone quoted that waiting time....but who knows.

  4. The only emails I've had from my CO are the initial one and another email saying that he was satisfied I was in a relationship and to move on to the health and character requirements, which I have done and uploaded.

Looking at them the only contact is this: Email: http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/forms/europe

I've phoned up the immigration number a few times in the past but all they say is that I have to leave Australia when they make a decision if I'm there. I'm hoping that by no response asking for anything else that its the 'no news is good news' kind of situation.

I wonder how I can contact my CO directly to ask/inform him on the current situation?

Do people normally get an email to say the CO is satisfied that you are in a genuine relationship? I am just wondering as the only email I have received is to say it has been submitted and I needed to give some further information, but that is it. So far it has been 7 months with no other correspondance.
