  1. Well 2 days ago I had my caffcass telephone interview (safeguarding children) and that went well. The following day received a copy of the safe guarding letter by email. Caffcass have not been able to contact my ex (she has not replied to letters, calls or texts from CC). My first court date is under a week !!! Nervous but have today been practising my opening statement to the Judge if I am asked to say anything intially.

Good luck mate! If you need a chat, give me a shout. :-)

  2. OMG get in there scan and emailed oh police clearance to agent and a few hours later she rang to say "sitting down, he has got his VISA and it has gone straight to the 100 , so all systems go and sell up and pack up and ship off, will keep popping in to see how you are all going and grants being done ,thankyou all for all the help and being there through this long process but finally done it haven't we .... 9 months 6 days

Well done, see you on the other side! ;-)

  3. I find the opposite, I find the FB groups (some not all) nasty and b1tchy. I reported two posts to FB one was a young girl trying to sell her baby and the other was a porno video, I received a response from FB that neither violated their terms of service. If that was posted on my forum it would have been deleted immediately.

Yes people have disagreements on here, with so many members and different personalities we can't expect everyone to agree with us. The forum is public it's not like it's just you chatting to a friend privately, so of course you will receive comments you don't like. I'm sure you and your partner don't agree with each other all the time and things get heated. It's the way of the world.

I think the forum does really well to be honest and the mods do an excellent job. I have not seen a nasty, vindictive personal attack on here for ages. In fact I can't remember the last one. Yes I've seen people not agreeing and speaking their mind on issues, but if that's what they honestly feel then so be it.

Since being on this forum you have received lots of good advice and to now turn around and say you prefer Facebook is a kick in the teeth to us as admin, but again that's your opinion and I can't change how you feel. I'm sorry you can't make friends on here, I've found the forum a great place for friendships and I've found some really close friends on here. In fact even though I'm now in FNQ I have around 40 friends in Berwick, Cranbourne etc in Melbourne who I met on here who would be more than happy to welcome me down there.

Each to their own, I'm not kicking you personally in the teeth, just stating my feelings and perception....................don't take it personally.

  4. Forums are strange beasts sometimes. You've hopefully also had lots of useful help and replies to other threads you've started or posted in and questions asked have been answered and info given when its been needed as far as people are able.

GGS makes a good suggestion :)

Yes they are indeed, I've got exactly what I wanted out of this experience, answers to very complex situations, but what I thought I would build in the situation is friends also, but not I feel, it's too cold and critical. There have been a handful that have been very good people to me, and out of the all the 1000's on here, it's a damn shame for me and especially PIO, the Facebook sites have a more friendly approach, more personal.

What does GGS mean Snifter, never heard that before?

    Cheers MT

  5. I really hope you find a solution

    Sometimes sh!t just happens

Some posters should take a breath and not bother to reply and move on

I do that all the time now

Don't forget life is not perfect for everyone

I've had many tough times in the past nearly lost our house struggled to feed our children

I do this with this site now, I posted a thread to find out why people had moved or wanted to move to Australia, I got slated by trolls, never again have I posted something as a thread to give them satisfaction.

  6. Are you serious? ? Why should other people pay. They have money, just not enough to get home and pay off their loans. Sorry but I would not be paying off anyones elses loans, they borrowed its up to them to pay it back. People start begging for money on these crowd funding things now at the drop of a hat. I would donate if it was for charity or for a sick child etc but not to fly someone's dog home!

Now to wait for all the bleeding hearts.....................

Read the post people's before assumptions are made, the parents are paying for the dog to be shipped!

  7. Wish people would stop judging me on here, I'm trying to find easy options ! No one knows what we are going through at the moment. And the parents have said they will pay for our British bulldog to go home as they are dog lovers too.

I'm afraid you get good and bad on all sites, keyboard warriors that wouldn't easily understand people have different lives to them, top marks to you for trying to find a way out and asking for guidance, quite a few would have walked away hoping the situation was pushed under the carpet!

  8. Congratulations!! May I ask how long the process took altogether... It may help others in similar situations as with visas timing is everything.

Hope it all works out with the move....I'm sure everyone feels relieved !!

We submitted C100 on October 14th, and with the Christmas period, it's been about 4 months, but could have been a few weeks earlier because of a court error with lost paperwork.

    Cheers MT

  9. Hi all,

Just wanted to advise, we were successful in our C100 Removal from Jurisdiction today, it was granted along with change of name and sole custody..............the last piece of our Australian jigsaw.

The information supplied by the people of the site has been invaluable, special thank you to @CaptainC and @Racmac

Thank you all for the kind messages, I'm off to have a Cider and two!!

    Cheers MT Xx

  10. Exactly the same with us, we self represented, one hearing was a cock up as they lost the paperwork and put us back a month, but 4th Feb is the final hearing, we've had some valuable advise from very knowledgable people on here, gave us confidence to take it on ourselves, plus the Cafcass report came back glowing in our favour. Good luck, MT

  11. We have been assigned a CO this week - so maybe they are being released from those at the front of the queue... just a thought nollie. I know, no rhyme or reason to how this works other than recommended processing times, still states 10-14mths. The gains we make from this thread like information and support can be tainted by seeing other grants progress - great for sure 'cause at some point it will be our turn & then on to the next challenge! This bit is pants & thats before get to oz:wink:.

I would like to do a nudge, we front loaded our application, there is a discrepancy that I need to clarify with CO - I used the automated form with drop boxes to try to make contact - is this right the https://www.border.gov.au/about/corporate/information/forms/online/australian-immigration-enquiry-form-for-europe-english

I am not convinced I am in the right place, it says contact Europe service centre. They haven't made it very idiot proof. The onus is very much on you to do the work. If this form isn't right - the right email link would be appreciated. Knowing my luck I've probably sent my medical query to Tim Peake on the international Space Station - good job it's not about my personables:laugh:

    Bloody get in!!!!! Xx
