OMG get in there scan and emailed oh police clearance to agent and a few hours later she rang to say "sitting down, he has got his VISA and it has gone straight to the 100 , so all systems go and sell up and pack up and ship off, will keep popping in to see how you are all going and grants being done ,thankyou all for all the help and being there through this long process but finally done it haven't we .... 9 months 6 days

We have been assigned a CO this week - so maybe they are being released from those at the front of the queue... just a thought nollie. I know, no rhyme or reason to how this works other than recommended processing times, still states 10-14mths. The gains we make from this thread like information and support can be tainted by seeing other grants progress - great for sure 'cause at some point it will be our turn & then on to the next challenge! This bit is pants & thats before get to oz:wink:.

 

I would like to do a nudge, we front loaded our application, there is a discrepancy that I need to clarify with CO - I used the automated form with drop boxes to try to make contact - is this right the https://www.border.gov.au/about/corporate/information/forms/online/australian-immigration-enquiry-form-for-europe-english

 

I am not convinced I am in the right place, it says contact Europe service centre. They haven't made it very idiot proof. The onus is very much on you to do the work. If this form isn't right - the right email link would be appreciated. Knowing my luck I've probably sent my medical query to Tim Peake on the international Space Station - good job it's not about my personables:laugh:

Does the vehicle have to be in the name of the person applying I.e V50?

I have been looking at the same details today @paganbronze all I can provide is a letter of redundancy and the sale particulars of my current property that is still for sale, one thing in my favour, I have Australian Bank Accounts.

I can provide V50, UK Driving License, Passport and PR Visa, but that's it.

The online document states you need a minimum of 100 points of information, but if they don't accept sale of house and redundancy, I've only got 25 points!

So, is there any substance to the rumour that visas are granted on a strict first come first served basis? Because it seems that Major Tom applied after me, but he's got his and I'm still waiting. Any clues? Very happy for The Major, just want to know why I'm waiting!! X

When my visa came through, it had my applied date as 24th March, but I thought it was 2nd April, so Go Matilda must of submitted and added details over that week period, so somethings figures are deceiving. Keep you chins up, they will come!! :-)

Just got to finalise the C100 removal from jurisdiction on the 23rd December

We are off to court for the second time to request my stepson to be able to come to Australia with us and his 3 siblings. We are confident it will go our way, but you can never second guess a Judge!! :-)

It's a bit finger in the air value IMO, nobody can give me a true figure, but my import tax for 1972 VW Kombi Westfalia, I've downloaded a figure from the Red Book, is this the figure used by Customs?
