just wondering who send us the date for ceremony ,is it local council or DIBP ? did anybody here requested for urgent ceremony

Hello Everyone,

 

My son was born in Australia 5 months ago when we were on 457 visa and now we all are Permanent Residence.

 

I have been living in Australia for 8 years so I understand that I'm elegible for citizenship after 12 months.

 

Could you pls advise when my son is eligible for citizenship, does he has to wait for 4 years or right after 12 months from the date we received PR as he was born in Australia?

i have to leave for India in December or end of November. i wont be able to come back until march for some circumstances . I am not sure what can i do to ask citizenship department to give me approval or ceremony date quicker because i wont be able to attend ceremony on 26 January. any suggestions?

Ok because today I have arugument with my employer and he gave me written warning and told me he can sack me but my contact is fixted term and have even no termination clause

don't know what to do at all

i think they can sack you whenever they want ,but i m not sure

Hi Did you continue with Bupa with private health care or they refunded the essentials visa cover automatically.

Hi I was on 457 visa and I was on private health care. I lodged for 187 visa on 18 of feb and they grant me visa on 29 of April . the next day I went on Medicare . Than I rang bupa and told them that I had lodged my visa on 18 of feb , can you refund me the money . And they said certainly . And within the week they transfer two months money into my account . No I haven't continue with bupa . I canceled it .

To those who are currently on 457 visa. I am enrolling for medicare since I have already lodged the 187. i want to know if I can already cancel my BUPA insurance after I enrol in medicare but before getting co allocation and before visa grant?

Iwas with bupa as well. I did not cancel it until I get my visa granted . Than I called bupa and tell them I lodged my visa in feb and they returned me all the money from the date I lodged for 187 visa . But yes you can cancel your bupa account and go for Medicare . I didn't cancel it be beause if my visa was rejected than I had to back with bupa again .

Ps It's closing the 3rd week since they state allocation for december, I'm on 9th december and not a sign.

I emailed them and kindly asked them how long they ll take to grant my visa and they granted it on 29. Aa you told me to stay in touch since i lodged the same day as you but my medicala Pcc ,AFP was already submitted . They did not ask me additional documents . Try to email them . It worked for me t

Hi reet mine main concern is not accessment is progress it just a last update date 8 April because my MA said I have case officer and they have 100 file so they will have a look Urs in next 2 months

Mine was lodged on 12 of dec I think around a month before you . So you might need to wait for another one month

Oh mine say last updated 8 April and assesment in process

No it is not about occupation. When immigration updated their system few weeks ago instead of saying in

progress it says assessment is progress. Even if you lodge your file a week ago . Hope it makes sense to you

My my position is cook high risk country . I had certificate 3 certificate 4 advance diploma in cookery . And now I had 2 nd half year experience

Mine is same here I have 457 till 2018

I have applied nomination 21 st Nov and visa on 25th Nov

1st April got nomination approved

And PCC asked 9th April still waiting for decision

My 457 will expire in 2017. They had rejected my 187 in 2013 because I did not had sufficient experience . So don't worry guys my wait has been long very hectic . I hope the best for all of you . Good luck everyone

one thing might have worked in my favor is that i was already on 457 visa.

@Komalami you would need a birth certificate .i had mine in punjabi and i got that translated in english

no i did not complete 1221...i have no idea my what is that

i am so glad to let you all know without asking me any additional documents i have get my visa granted today.

my timeline is

RCB applied on 9 of dec

nomination applied on 12 of dec

visa applied on 18 of feb.

visa approved on 29 of April which is today ( no additional documents have been asked for

I do understand now .I am from one of the HR countries and unfortunately I have been asked for most of the extra documents you mentioned above too and couple more.But what I wonder is,if that is the part of application (like regular)???? cuz I must confess that this worries me very from time to time...

I just opened my Immi account and I see some changes. Last update 25 April (today) and my status changed from 'in progress' to 'finalised'. Any one know what the finalised should mean?

finalised mean that a decsion has been made ,,...

No, you can't. But having the TRN, other details requested for an immi account are personal.

 

I also have nomination approved, visa lodged on 9/12/2015.

Hi reet, in my immiaccount same thing happen, they updated my birth certificate today but the date is same back 22/02/15. Dnt know what they doing i applied on 8/12/14. Nothing heard back yet. May be soon but this waiting game is killing me.

I lodged my file just a day after you on 9/12/14. Have you been asked for any additional documents

What you think is the next status after "assessment in progres" ??

Do they display "allocated" when a CO will look through? Or after the visa is granted will be dispayed "Granted" or things like that?

Anyone who got PR can help us with that?

immigration updated my birth age certificate today which i send on 25/02/2012. they updated it today but the date i can see on immi account is 25/02/12. i dont know whats going on if someone could help please.:arghh:

They probably are pending with addit docs requested or are from HR country. I guess all november applicants got at least a sign ( addit docs request, Pcc, co allocation etc ).

We haven't got any of these, at least not me.

I wrote to my MA yesterday if there are signs like "assessment in progress" or anything similar and he reply that we should expect this in june ((. Helpless and uninformed !

Hi I checked with my MA just and hour ago and she said even if you lodge your application a week ago , it will say assessment in progress. Because of the new changes and maintenance from last week to immi site. She said some files from 14 of dec has been allocated and some not. She said I need to wait for couple of weeks .

Thanks for reply. I believe they are really assessing but I also read that sometimes they display the status of "allocated". I hope there's no difference between thwse statuses.

it is saying assessment in progress for me and i lodges it on 12 of dec. are they really processing our files or is it just because they are doing some maintenance
