  1. My hubby has been granted his 309 today!!! We just received the email!!! Yay! We weren't expecting anything until December/January!! (We had organised an etourist visa for him as we're going back at the end of the month lol)

Can anyone advise if we should expect the 100 to be granted too? (We've been together 10 years and have a 1 year old)

    Thanks!!

Big congratulations to you ..... With reference the 100, you are granted the 309 first and then later on in the day you should get another email granting the 100 , that's how it normally works. If you don't see the 100 by the end of the day contact your case officer.

  2. Hey guys,

Good news. My 309 visa came through today.

    Also a straight forward application.

However also received notice the AHPRA want to refuse my general registration as a medical radiation practitioner :( so have to write a letter to the committee for them to consider. Always another hoop to jump through.

As anyone else encountered the monster known as AHPRA?

    Good luck peeps.

WOW Big congratulations to you ;-)

  3. Hopefully you get it all sorted soon as you lodged 10 months ago now and in principal a visa could be ready to grant anytime from now till the 14 month mark. Good luck with everything.

IIRC you have your own children and step children and from what I can work out, the step children are fine, permission has been given for them to move to Aus. Its your own Aus citizen kids with your ex that you have to get leave to remove for from what I can tell? As I said unusual but its not actually critical to the application is it. All rather unusual but first time for everything and all that :)

The reason we did it this way round and applied for my Wife's and Step Daughters Visa first is , we didn't want to rock the boat if for any reason the application wasn't granted. We wanted to get the visa all in place and then apply for the boys, they are aged 13 and 15. Once a child turns 16 we don't need to apply they can just move anyway.

  4. I may be wrong in this and am willing to stand corrected, but don't you have to provide evidence of having permission to remove the children BEFORE their visa is granted?

You are correct with this we have had to sort permission from my Step Daughters Father to allow them to go and this was submitted with the application. Both my boys have Australian Citizenship by Decent so they need to travel on an Australian Passport to enter Australia but the form needs to be signed by BOTH parents, their mother wont sign this or give permission to relocate so this is why we have make an application for leave to remove a child from the jurisdiction.

  5. I lodged same time as @CameronsDad and @Annaleis, CO is VF............medical and police submitted 2-3 weeks ago, just sat here reading this post, and counting down the days really...........Oh, and dealing with a C100 in-between, just for added pressure! ;-)

Hey Mate, if you add the Date you applied, case officer medicals and police checks to your signature , @Aussiegirl can add you to the spread sheet like us all ;-)

Well once my wife has her Visa granted we can do the next stage which is "application for leave to remove a child from the jurisdiction"... We have two children on the application (my step daughters) and i have two boys who have lived me their whole lives, i have full custody of the children through a court order. The mother still has parental Responsibility (they never loose this) so have to apply to court to remove the children from the UK.

  6. yay!

I lodged on the 17th of december 2014 and i just had my visa granted last night on the 20th of october :) i was in australia on a tourist visa hanging out with my husband until i hit the 10 month mark and then when i emailed my co to let her know i had left the country and was now in new zealand she emailed me back literally 1 minute later to say she would grant my visa straightaway. I'm sp happy! Good luck to everybody else waiting! I can stop frantically reading these forums now looking for updates and reassurance haha

wow big congratulations - that's awesome news ;-)

  7. Thought I'd share our great news with you all! My partner received an email from his CO this evening (it's evening here in Australia) saying his grant is ready to be given. Yay! Because he's in Australia on a tourist visa at the moment he had to advise his CO of when he will be leaving the country so the visa can be granted. After some online searching we've booked our flights to Bali on Monday, meaning when my partner returns to Australia next Thursday he will be here on a partner visa! Am so happy as it will be granted well under the 10th month mark. We applied on the 28th January. It's a relief for him as he will be able to start applying for work once we get back from our short break away. Hope everyone else receives some good news soon too!

Wow that's Awesome news, Big Congratulations to you , you will be under the 9 mth mark !!! ..............Wish ours would hurry up now seeing so many who applied well after us getting theirs through.

  8. VF - any chance you've got a crystal ball tucked away???

We hit 10 months next week. This last bit is a killer isn't it? Didn't think it would be this bad, but it's really getting to me now.........

Yeah my wife is bouncing off the walls, messaging me all day every day lol ....... Being a school teacher she hasn't time to speak on here and check emails , so its left to me but the Visa is her ;-)

  9. @snowy5100, I am still waiting too but like yourself only did my medical in September, I see @SiobhanandLee did theirs in July so that could be the hold up for our visa decisions or we just have CO with large workload or slower workrate :)We are flying in Juanuary so will drop an email in December if not granted before then.... House up for sale now... need to go get organised got viewers in an hour...

The only reason we did our medicals and police checks in September was to give us enough time once grant has been given to sport everything out before having to go and validate. We were asked to submit these any time after the 30 June by the CO right at the start, but we emailed them and they said as long as they had it by 30th September it would have no impact. I think some applications are easier than others. Siobhanandlee was a straight forward husband and wife application, where mine consists of children as well. We are not in any mega rush anyway as we are not moving back until two of the children finish their GCSE next year.

    The wait continues ;-)

  10. Thanks for that.. i honestly thought it wouldnt come til after Christmas.. thanks for the advice..

Some case officers seem to work quicker than others. CF seems to be a quick one at the moment ;-) ..... but then again it all depends on each application and how many is on each one!!! We have 3 on ours so we know ours isn't the norm, but its hard when you see people round you getting grants ........................ The wait continues ;-)

  11. My visa came through this morning!!

I am a little unsure what happens next with it though. Is the Visa Grant Notice that I was sent notifying me of the grant all I need to get into Australia? My wife and I had thought that there might be a card or some such, because we're pretty sure they don't put anything in the actual passport anymore. We just want to know if we need to keep an eye on the post! Thank you for the positive messages..

    Big Congratulations ;-)
