Thanks for the reply Ben
We would happily consider regional / country work.
ts just the concern of any school offering a 12m contract (Subject to Visa ofc) to enable us to get the state nomination.

Good afternoon all
My Partner and i are in the process of applying for a state nominated visa, as she is a primary school teacher. We are using Immigration2oz.co.uk (who have been fantastic Thanks John!!)
However the issue we now face is that the only state that we can apply to is WA (which require us to have a 12month contract before we can lodge the EOI)
I have looked on a few sites and it seems the market is very saturated and given the time of year unlikely any 12m contracts available till maybe later this year (Obviously we want to move ASAP)
Can anyone give any advise support or experience on how we should best proceed?
Many thanks
Geoff

Hi Guys - not posted for a little while, but still having alot of trouble with moving to Oz
Like many people have said the market for Primary educators is very saturated. Currently i have manged to Register is WATRB (Western Oz Teacher Registration Board) As a teacher and had the qualifications checked by AITSL, so all fine. I have chosen WA as they are one of the only 2 states nominating for perminant visa currently.
I feel i am applying to every job going on WA jobs website but not had any joy as of yet - feel so close and yet so far.
Whats more frustrating is i am highly qualified, and although 29 with only 5 years experiance, i am on leadership programe, co-ordinate literature and drama for mine and multiple schools in the UK.
Well fingers cross.
