What line of work are you in Scott f? Only asking as sounds like you might be in my kind of industry, I'm a fabricator welder. I may be well wide of the mark lol

I'm a proposals engineer and work with process gas compression systems. It's an office based job though, not very hands on.

All applications till 31st Oct have allocated. I have lodged in early nov-14. I hope my application will allocate early Feb-14.

 

Hi Guys, As per your views, what is the best state for live and work. I am looking for Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane.

It depends what climate you are looking and what industry your line of work is in, as each city is different.

I'm moving out to Brisbane for a number of reasons including work (oil&gas) and the climate.

The email was from auto-letter-generator@immi.gov.au

The subject was a combination of numbers and letters, ie reference numbers

Visa Grant letter received this morning

I applied on 3rd November with no agent. Uploaded all docs except for 80. waiting for CO assignment or direct grant. is it mandatory to upload for 80 too?

Form 80 isn't mandatory, although some CO's request it.

Lodged 4th November, front loaded everything with no agent, grant received today :-)

We've looked at Sunshine coast and the Gold coast, but I think the commute into Brisbane would be too much. I have family in Brisbane's Bayside, so having a look there and the north side.

I've heard good things about gomatilda.

I've done my visa application myself, couldn't have done it without forums such as this one.

As soon as I get the grant, I'll be booking a flight leaving in a 4-8 weeks. Heading to Brisbane, not entirely sure where yet.

Hi I'm new to here, I've been using this site for helpfull info and thought it's about time I joined in!

we submitted health and police checks back end of November after being requested to do so, now just going mad waiting for the grant as I imagine you all are too!?

Mad isn't the word. I'm hopeful that a direct grant will come next week.

Still a bit soon yet I think. I'm.not expecting to hear anything until early January at the earliest. Would imagine everything's pretty much shut down for 2 weeks after today.

Probably a little early. On another thread, a visa lodged on 30-Oct was granted yesterday so we can't be too far away. Although there could now be a two week delay.

Any November lodged 189 applications been granted yet???

My husband is an electrician so we did the vetassess route first.

 

We did our medicals 18th November and sent off for the police checks. The medicals were uploaded two days after and police checks came back last week. I uploaded them and just waited to hear from co but didn't hear anything till this morning when we received an email stating visa had been granted.

 

All gone very quick.

Are you able to detail a little more info on your visa application, eg occupation, medical and pcc upload dates, co allocation team etc?

Hi! I applied on the 4th Nov then did uploaded PCC and had my medical quickly after that.

From looking at the October submittals, grants are being seen for mid October applications. Is the estimate 8 weeks for front loaded applications? Will the festive period hold up applications?
