  1. Any news from anyone? I'm still waiting! Next week will be 3 months since submitting my application. Guess I'm one of the 25% who fall outside of the 75% service agreement.

No news at all. Still no contact from CO and no delay email either. We lodged 5th feb so still have 2 weeks til we hit 3 month mark.

    best of luck!

  2. So the three of us in the same boat, it seems! I didn't receive the delay mail, Charlie, so I'm hoping to hear back WAY before June. Hoping we all do! I also front loaded my docs. I mailed them about two weeks ago and they said I'd hear back in due course. I don't know why a 190 visa would take longer than a 189 lodged at the same time. It should be quicker, given that a state has assessed everything already and chosen to sponsor.

    Hi Melbourne.

Did you get allocated a CO or did you just decide to email a general email address?

We lodged 5th feb but ain't heard nothing yet. Whereas other people after us have been given COs. I am assuming they have been contacted by a CO because they required further info from them which is fair enough as we have uploaded everything and have a straight forward case. But it's frustrating that they have been allocated to a team and we have not as we would like a named contact so we can ask about the likelihood of a delay etc.

The wait is killing me and my new oz employers are wondering how long too!

  3. Hi D

I am not a GP myself but no you wont need PSV again. I have just applied to AHPRA and had to do everything again inc getting documents certified etc. I don't know about GP college registration sorry.

    Best wishes

  4. Good stuff buddy. Keep us posted about the progress.

CO's are into 'first two weeks of feb' applicants. Phew...

    Hi Harryc

Where did you get your info from re your quote about COs being into first 2 weeks of feb? The immi website states for the 189 and 190 that if you applied in Jan you have been allocated to a team. But after Jan the it seems the processing is Indeed slowing down.

  5. Hi guys

Are there any doctors on here that have been through the AHPRA registration process recently?

I sent my application form in last week but wondering how long it takes. I know the website says 10 days for aus residents and 4-6 weeks for overseas drs but I was wondering if it really does take that long? I have a job waiting for me and they need me ASAP. I have been registered previously when I worked in aus in 2012 so hoping this may speed the process up.

It will be nice to hear other people's experiences.

  6. Hello,

Just wondering if anyone else is going through vetasses at the moment?

We have been waiting since the end of October. I know it takes 10-12 weeks but getting impatient as just want to apply for our visa.

My partner is a physicist and is getting his degree and experience assessed. We are in the UK and are hoping to apply for a 190 from Vic.

    Cheers

    Claire and Ant
