Hi Lavers, thanks for quarantine updates. Couple of q's on your experience...
Is the internet access at the hotel unlimited?
Were you able to take hand luggage on your flight?

I really hate the word Maroon (Ma roon) when they pronounce it over here it's Ma Rone
and 'day boo' instead 'deɪbju'

I hate any form of running its so bad for the joints etc. Even a lot of walking is bad. Non impact sport is best. How do I know, new knee and need another one. I used to walk 7 km every day for a long long time, had best shoes but still b.......... my knees
That's only true if you have a predisposition to osteoarthritis.
If you're a healthy weight and take a sensible approach to exercise (i.e. regular but not excessive) than there's is no evidence to support the idea that running alone can cause knee pain.

I can understand that - especially at lunchtime - in the uk i used to live on Tescos/Sainsburys meal deals, whereas here in the city you wont get much for $6... although i think the quality and variety are better.
Also encourages me to bring my own lunch which is generally healthier than picking something up.
I haven't noticed the quality being any better in general, supermarket or restaurant.
The variety of SE Asian foods is amazing though.

All I can say is that hundreds of thousands do run regularly in Australia.
Good for them.
I've tried running here but just don't enjoy it as much.

Was a mad keen long distance runner in the UK. Here, can't even consider it for half of the year due to the heat and humidity. Also have hideous hay fever pretty much year 'round.
I feel your pain.
I used to run 80km+ every week in the UK, I struggle to hit 10km a week here.
Make up the shortfall on the treadmill but it's not the same.

May be allocating doesn't mean processing
I'd assume Allocating is the precursor to Processing.

I still haven't found any cheaper or better food...

Not really changed, never really got sick in the UK or here in Melbourne.
Biggest difference is that I now run on a treadmill instead of out on the streets which is very dull.

Pepper and Bonnie ..........
What breed is the black and white one?

102 out of 321!
No wonder we can't afford to buy a decent house in Altona.

It's grammatically correct when related to the club or entity but not the team.

It annoys me that the yanks get blamed for soccer.
It's a shortened version of Association Football which originated in the UK.
-
Using the third person singular instead of the plural to describe sports teams..
Liverpool has beat Tottenham instead of have for example.
Pronouncing debut as dayboo.
Both drive me crazy when watching sport on telly.

Hi All,
I'm a SCADA Systems Engineer with six years experience, although I've spent the last seven months working as a BA.
I'd love a SCADA Related role, especially in the water industry.
I live in Altona and I'm happy to commute within the Melbourne area.
Any suggestions on where to look?

That's good news, I should be able to pack my iMac in it's flight bag and work from the hotel then!
