  1. Good day, I wish to inquire my eligibility of securing invitation for state sponsorship from NSW. I am meeting the point criteria and scoring 60 points on my EOI (if 5 points are included from state sponsorship) . My point score can be broken down as follows 1. Age 30 points 2. Skill assessment 15 points (Skills positively assessed by Engineers Australia as Telecommunication Engineer ANZSCO 263311) 3. English Language Proficiency 10 points 4. State sponsorship 5 points Total 60 points Though I have been working for the past 6 years and 5 months, but, my work experience is partially relevant to my nominated occupation that's why I have not claimed points of my work experience . Yet I have mentioned my work experience in my EOI. Also I noticed from NSW website that work-experience has not been defined as a mandatory criteria for securing state sponsorship. Response from the members who have or had successfully secured NSW state sponsorship regarding invitation criteria with respect to my current circumstances shall be highly appreciated.
  2. Thanks Marky; I have thoroughly assessed eligibility criteria of all the state sponsorship and came to know that NSW state sponsorship specifically doesn't mention "Work experience" as its eligibility requirement. Hence I made my EOI with respect to NSW state sponsorship (specifically mentioning NSW as the province seeking nomination from); My point score is 60; However it was mentioned in the website that high ranked candidates would be invited first ; So I assume it would be highly likely that a person with an age in maximum point bracket (30 points), competent English (all 6's in IELTS but 0 points), skill assessment (15 points) and minimum 5 years of experience (10 points) would be securing equal points as mine (55 points) but because of experience, he would much preferred to secure state nomination. Though I am not willing to claim points due to my employer restriction, but still I have more than 6 years of experience in pocket so I was thinking to mention my experience in the experience column but not to claim work experience points by letting "relevant experience" checkbox remain unchecked. I think it would give a good impression as I am not a new-bie but possess experience. Do you think it would give me an edge and maximize my chances of securing NSW state sponsorship?
  3. Thanks marky, that's bit of a help could you help me suggesting any state sponsorship with my specifications as follows Age : 29 (30 points) Skill Assessment : Positive, Engineers Australia (Telecommunications Engineer ANZSCO 263311) (15 points) IELTS : Proficient (All 7's L 8.5, R 7.5, W 7.0, S 7.5) (10 points) Total 55 Points
  4. My point score in submitted EOI amounts to 60 (including 5 points for 190 state sponsorship) and 65 (including 10 points for 489 provisional regional sponsorship), however this point score doesn't include any points for work experience (even after having almost 6 years of work experience, my employer not willing to issue an experience letter) ; In fact, I initially applied through mentioning experience and got 189 ITA, went through the whole procedure but HR refused to the DIBP calls due to which my 189 application got rejected and loads of money went down the drain, therefore this time I am willing to play clean by securing those 5 points by state sponsorship; I know 190 is a permanent visa and without experience it is not possible to 190 get invitation that's why my primary aim is to secure 489 ITA and move, then fetch a job and after an year or more file for permanent visa (887) could any one tell me that what are my chances for securing an ITA for 190/489 category, I don't have any preference and willing to relocate anywhere (even at the low population suburban areas); Thanks!

  6. my bad ,but thanks for the information
  7. Could anyone with correct information help me in distinguishing between Internal and external checks for permanent visa processing ? I got a glitch in job verification and case officer invited me to submit a comment against the glitch/adverse information received (as why department was unable to contact my employer?) I defended my application through detailed comment and mentioned reason due to which contact couldn't be made; supported that comment by firm employment evidences; I got silence for months after submission of the comment and supporting evidences but later on was asked for fresh police clearance and health checks again; Now upon asking current status of my application, the case officer says that my application is going through external (national) security checks I have heard that internal check refers to your points claimed (Job, IELTS , Education etc) conducted by DIBP officer through phone calls or emails, while external check refers to background check concerning security and code of conduct of an applicant, performed by ASIO (Austrlian Security Intelligence Organization) ? please correct me if i am wrong ? Also I would like to mention here that my employer was never contacted again by DIBP since I submitted my detailed comment and supporting evidences and later-on new medical and police clearance; This puts a question mark as whether the internal check of my application was completed successfully or not ? If not, then why my application was pushed to external checks ? If yes , then would I be granted visa if my external checks come out with positive result ?? OR After completion of external checks they would get back to internal checks again and contact my employer ? Detailed response in this regard shall be highly appreciated
