  1. Hi guys, I just got PR granted today. My timeline kinda stretched a bit as I was requested to submit extra docs twice... (medicals in January and updated Police Clearance in Feb). Each time you are requested to submit extra docs your application will be put on hold for a month. I submitted my PR application on 1 Oct last year. So my advice is, if you are not sure whether you should provide this doc (or if it is still valid) please please please go ahead and get it. Otherwise you'd end up where I was wasting two months on getting new docs!! >_<

    Hang in there guys and good luck to you all!

  2. I have a direct number from my request for more information, called twice last week. The phone is always picked up immediately but I am just told my file is being processed and they can't tell me how much longer it will be. Mine is being processed in Perth, not sure if that makes a difference.

    I'd say give it a go you've got nothing to loose.

    I see... It is good that you have a direct number. I'd keep following with them. Hopefully we will all hear the good news soon!!!

  3. It's been 50 days since requested more info on my file.

    Have lost the will to live!!!!!

    I know Websie!!! I'd be beyond furious if I were you!! I hadn't checked this forum for a while and I logged back on today and browsed through a few old pages. I was hoping you've got it by now but darn it! :mad:

  4. I have to agree with you Megan...

    I have a comparable timeline to yours...with nomination approved long long ago...but it does not seem to matter at all;

    However, I could not see in the timeline that DIBP has requested to provide more info...was that the case?

    Hi Korf7, hope we can both get our pr soon. I was requested for new medical examination on 9th Feb (which is finalised now),

  5. My MA was told that 28 days after the request for more information the case becomes eligible to be reviewed again but couldn't give a timeframe of how long after the 28 days it would be reviewed.

    I did see one grant go through the day after the extra docs were submitted but that could have been a one-off.

    So frustrating!

    Bugger!! This is so frustrating! I guess it is 28 working days? Argh what difference does it make anyways, gonna be at least another month's wait! The whole PR system here is a bloody joke.

  6. Do we usually have to wait for another 28 days after the Department asked for additional information? I completed a new medical examination last week and although the online account says "medical has been finalised" now but I still havent heard anything from the department... I sure hope it wont take another 28 days until they re-look at my case again!

  7. I was supprised ! what your Ma says? If tgey alreday askeed you should do quicker! Nowdays its really depends on co .

    I dont have a ma so they sent me an email this morning requesting for additional info. I replied and told them I have done a medical exam before etc. But I reckon it is best to do another one as well. I am pretty lucky to be able to book an appointment this afvo. Better get things done quickly now!
