coxy1804- congrats to you!! I am excited now, ours was lodged 20 March so not too much longer to go with our fingers crossed....!

I'm waiting for the February applications to start coming through also Even though ours was lodged in March, just want to feel a little closer to the visa finishing line! What a wait hey? We are booked to be back in Melbourne in December so fingers crossed my partners visa is approved sooner rather than later.

Hi All.
I am a long time reader, first time contributor.
Our application for the 100 visa for my fiancé was received on December 31st 2013.
We are currently sitting at 8 months 19 days.
I think we are a straight forward case and have not been asked to provide additional information.
Our case officer is KP.
We have been living apart since our application began and the waiting is taking it's toll.
I think for me this forum may have provided unrealistic expectations of processing times. We advised our case officer that the applicant would be out of Australia around the 7.5 month mark, thinking the CO might grant us early. Unfortunately this was not the case.
Its frustrating seeing people from "higher risk" areas having visas processed before ours. However it looks as though applicants applying in the UK will be waiting longer and longer, especially given the updates to 10-14months.
Hopegully we we won't have to wait too much longer
I hope you get it really soon! Fingers crossed for you! The waiting is so difficult!! Keep us posted.

Does anyone else have the CO- KP?

WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooo!
*bigfathappydance*
He got it! Hubby has had his visa granted and we're going home! :-)
I was on Skype to my Mum and Dad in Oz when hubby walked in with the email. I am so happy I could burst! Actually, I am - well, my eyes are! They keep leaking because I am so very, very happy.
Thanks everyone for your support and I hope this starts a new wave of grants coming through. @TheEscapePlan, you must be next... :-)
Happy day! Happy, happy day!
Fantastic news!!! Happy days

Hello- we weren't given a direct email address either- can you send me the formula for it in a pm? I can see it's firstname.surname@ but what's after the @? xx

JUST RECEIVED OUR GRANT!!!!! 8months 1 day!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jiggy:
Must be the best feeling, I can't wait for ours but we have just passed 6 months....probably a while left to go....
-
I think the closest places would be either New Zealand or Bali, however I'm not sure which is cheapest. We have a back-up plan to go to NZ if the grant doesn't come through in time. I'm not looking at flights yet though, as I quietly have my fingers crossed that we won't have to do that.
We have the exact same plan in mind to escape to NZ or Bali if needed- do you have any updates? We submitted de facto visa in March so just waiting....waiting....

Good Afternoon All
Just joined the long wait for a Visa and wanted to come onto the forum (have been reading it for a while) in the hope that people can share their experiences and hopefully if there are any tips pass them on.
Submitted my 309/100 application on 12th May and the next 9 months seem like a long time to wait but at least countdown is on. My wife is Australian and we have lived together for over 6 years now so hopefully have enough time and documentation to make the process smooth. We are both in the UK and counting down the days until can move to OZ
Any news? We lodged our de facto visa for my boyfriend in March, we have been together 4 years, own a property together and cannot wait to go back to my home town for a new adventure/chapter in our lives. Keep us posted!

Good luck! Enjoy Oz!

Hi, can I just ask what you emailed about? Did you have their direct email address? We have been waiting since March and hoping it will come through very soon as we have booked our flights for December. Considering emailing and letting them know this just on the off chance they might push it through faster...

@Summerandtilly- good news- my partner has just been granted his subclass 309 visa, 8 months and 11 days wait and we are over the moon (lodged paperwork 20/3/2014). We fly out to Australia on the 22nd December so we get there just in time for Christmas. It has been a long wait but now we have it, it all feels worth it and we can relax/celebrate. Good luck to everyone else xxxx
