You need to talk to your employer again and explain that you need the nomination lodged ASAP as you are running out of time. Don't wait until May or you will be in a tight spot. If your 187 visa is not lodged by the end of April then you better pack your bags and be on the plane out of Australia by 4 May.

 

Employers need to be chased. Mine took 7 months from the time they agreed to nominate me for PR to actual lodgement of the nomination.

This is very true. Mine nomination application took 8 month from the employer aggreed and started gathering documents. My Employer also took time to provide additional documents required by immi and almost hit the deadline (28 days). So you better ask your employer to start collecting documents for nom app now. Further nomination docs asked 25 Sep to submit within a month

Docs submitted 8 Oct. Still waiting for nomination. Haven't applied visa. Bit stressful. I would really appreciate your reply.

My employer wanted to call the CO and tell him off as his name showed that he was an immigrant himself...lol

Law is law. It doesn't matter if the CO was an immigrant as s/he can't go against the law. Good luck mate

Rupi, I am from high risk country. I guess once they approved your nomination tbey have gone through ur visa app as well so its just the matter of time before you get your visa. If anything wrong you will hear from ur co. As its quite in ur case so I guess ur co is quite busy thats all. Goodluck and dont be panic. God bless you

Gauhear, I suggest you go to the website of RCB in your region to see their required docs. Diffrent RCB may require slightly diffent sets of docs. Cheers

apart from the lucky birds who have got their visa granted, is there anyone having trouble with 187? Please share your exp. we have been requested by CO for further docs on employer's side. A little slow to provide but still within the deadline. Now it has been 2 weeks since employer provided docs. Quite frustrated if there is any problem. Any advice appreciated.

Hi mate, I lodged my nomination and visa application on 18/6, long before you. CO requested docs from employer on 5/9 but until 30/9 employer was able to provide. Its a bit delayed because of this. Now I m just worried as it has been 2 weeks since the required docs were submitted but still no response from CO. I heard some guys here got their PR within days of providing docs. Waiting game really sucks. God bless us

Hi guys, we are in the same boat. We logded nomination and visa application on 18 June through an agent. Still no response yet. Hope to get something by end of next month. Thanks for sharing info, folks
