My application was on 18 Jun 2018.
From the website, they say "applications lodged on or after 1 June 2018 are assessed and given a queue date when it meets the initial visa criteria" but I have not been given a queue date. Anyone knows how to contact them to ask?

Mine was lodged in June 2018 but I still hear nothing about the queue. Anyone on the same boat?

But I applied after that date, on 20 June 2018

Hi everyone
I applied 143 in June 2018 but still haven't received any queue date yet. Is it normal or should I get in touch with them (but how?)? Anyone is also in the same situation like me?

We lodged our application in April 2017. I too don’t remember getting any email? Did I miss reading it ?
Yeah that's what I was worried about too.
MillieB applied in July 2018 and already got the letter. Not sure what we can do in this case except waiting. Did you get any contact from them at all?

Don’t be worried they have looked at your paperwork by the sounds of it. Realised something is missing so requested it. Now they just need to acknowledge they’ve received it by contacting you to let you know you have a queue date now they have everything they need. They’ve only been issuing queue dates for a few weeks now. It’s a new process.
Is there anyway I can get in touch and ask them about the queue date?

It is a letter sent by email - Queue date assigned. You lodged your application a month before us, so I would have thought you would have heard by now.
Wow. That's worrying. I have not received anything like that. What should I do now? How can I ask them given that they never answer any enquiry?

You will get an email. When did you lodge your application?
Lodged 20 June 2018.
What kind of email is it? I got an email in Nov 2020 requesting for copies of passport but nothing more

Stupid question but may I ask how do I know if I have placed in a queue and what is my queue date?
-
Hey Huubang
Congrats ! Would you like to tell us when did you lodge your visa application?
It was on 14 July
-
Thanks for replying, so should I re-upload those 10 docs with a proper naming convention?
No you shouldn't. Don't upload duplicate. Just let it be. But for future uploads, try to stick to the guidelines.
-
I have uploaded 36 files so far out which some files have "spaces" in their names. Is that a problem ?
Not at all. But better to follow their guidelines.

I've got a grant this morning. So happy

I wonder with these visas how it works. When it says on the invitation to apply, that we get 60 days to apply, does this mean no one looks at anything for 60 days? It seems you could wait for 55 days, then apply and upload everything and it would make little different how quick it would get processed.
It means you have 60 days to decide whether to apply or not. After 60 days, the invitation expires and is no longer valid. Once you apply, your application will be processed within 3 months from the application date.

I have a question, please if someone can tell me where to upload the form 80 and form 1221 on the immigration portal?
Can you try the Attach Document button on the right navigation pane?

I applied on 14th July as well and so far no news But I have my spouse as a dependant

Lodged my 189 visa on 15th July, front-loaded everything including form 80, just waiting for a CO. Has any lucky one got CO assigned to already? I have a feeling it will be these two weeks but it's friday already
I lodged one day earlier than you and still no news... Sigh... Tired of waiting

Hi guys!
i'm actually new in this forum. So glad to have a thread for July applicants. Me and my husband have lodged our application last 15th of July. Until now still got no CO assigned. So worried.. We're actually looking forward to transfer to Qld or Perth by October.. Hope everything goes well for all of us..!
You need to include all 5 but indicating whether each of them will accompany you to Aussie

Ok great. Is the EOI form pretty straightforward?
Just do it! No point asking useless questions. Do it and if gets stuck then you can ask
-
Hi all. We are going to lodge our EOI tomorrow (Saturday 23rd)
Having not done this before, does anyone on here who has recently done this having any tips or good advice on doing this?
We are doing an EOI based on 60 points, made up of age, qualifications and maximum IELTS scare and an Anmac LOD (nursing)
Any advice most welcome. @robley / thanks!
Just do it! Got questions then post here LOLX
-
Hi All,
Any updates on getting assigned a CO?
Cheers
So far no one has been assigned yet
-
yes i do have 60 points, i got State sponship already as my points are 30 for age, 15 for education, 10 for IELTS and 5 for SS. I am not claiming any points, and I can't claim as my expereince is less than 3 years. I am not submitting visa yet becasue i m confused that visa officer only consider expereince which is valid on assessment only or they consider all experience ?
I think they only consider experience which is valid on assessment (which is relevant to the SOL) but since you are not claiming points for experience, what is your concern?

have a query due to which I am confused and have not submitted my visa application yet for which I need clarity.
I have worked in three different job positions during my career which are all related to my nominated occupation ‘ Marketing Specialist’ (225113). Details are:
Position1:
Job Title: Territory Executive
Occupation: Marketing Specialist
Company Name: Pakistan Tobacco Company
Start date: 17/02/2014
End Date: To date (mentioned 20/08/2014 while filling form)
Position 2:
Job Title: Business Executive
Occupation: Marketing Specialist
Company Name: Premier Distributors
Start Date: 27/03/2012
End Date 10/02/2014
Position 3:
Job Title: Management Trainee
Occupation: Marketing Specialist
Company Name: Premier Distributors
Start Date 26/12/2011
End Date 26/3/2012
However in my Skills assessment from Vet assess only "Position 2" is assessed positively from 05/2012 10/2013 – at the time I sent my application for assessment
Position 1 is not mentioned because I joined that job after assessment and position 3 is not there because of unavailability of reference letters at that time. My all positions areconsistent with a career advancement pathway and I do have all the necessary reference letters and evidences which shows that all of my employment roles are relevant to my nominated position. That is why I mentioned "YES" on the below question:
Is this employment related to the nominated occupation: “Yes”
I am not claiming any point for any of my work experience as my total experience is less than 3 years and my points in EOI and points claimed in Visa application are same so everything in EOI and Visa form is consistent.
Since my current EOI is mentioned correctly, I would like to know whether I can proceed with the visa application with current EOI or I need to fill new EOI again and new state nomination and mention the employment which is only assessed by Assessment Authority. Visa form is confusing me and I am stopped and did not paid my fees yes although every thing is ready. if any body can guide me it will be highly appreciated
So you mean in your EOI, without the job experience, you still managed to get 60 points and above?

I applied on 18 June 2018 so according to the rule I should receive a queue date because it's not the same as my application date which is after 1 June 2018. However, I haven't received anything so far. Lots of people applying after me have now received the queue date letter. Is there any way to contact them regarding this? It's frustrating that there's no channel to contact for valid questions
