VISA GRANTED !!!
I received golden email today. It took 4.13 month for a grant. It has been a long run. Thanks to this forum for keep me going ...
-
Thanks a lot Usman for your valuable inputs! So, if there's a chance that I might change my employer in next 7 months, it's better to wait for another 7 months (to complete 5 years of experience) and then apply for ACS evaluation, correct?
Yes, thats correct.
-
I applied on 23rd-July-2014 and still waiting for the grant.
-
There is also a work around that is 100% safe.
Get ACS evaluation for 2 years and 5 months. And while filling EOI form, make sure you keep "To date" field EMPTY in experience column.
This way your experience will be counted till date instead of the date you had your evaluation done. This should only be done when you are continuing your current job you got evaluated for.
-
Yes that's for sure. ACS deducts 2 years from experience. My experience was also deducted even though I had a relevant degree and experience.
So, it is better you should wait and complete your experience.

Grant received today! Thanks for letting me hijack this thread! Thanks all. I know I was from June, but it just proves they're working through everyone one by one. Wishing you all speedy grants!
Excellent NEWS ... Many congratulations dear ... Best of luck for your future

It is available to me know... I wonder what happened earlier...
All is well now

How will I know once a case officer has been allocated?? Thanks [emoji4]
Case officers are usually assigned without applicant knowing they have.
Applicants only know once CO requests additional documents. Otherwise you would get a direct grant.

Visa tracker file all of a sudden has been removed. It's a shocker since it was a great source of knowing other people's timeline...

Hi,
After exactly one year from lodging my application with the full set of scanned documents, I received an email form my case officer with a "Request checklist" asking for a new Overseas Police Clearance. I understand that they want to check whether any criminal record has occurred since my last submitted Police clearance. Could this mean, by any chance, that my application is reaching its final stage?
Appreciating your advice.
Yogui
Did you apply for 190 or 189 ?

What is ur timeline...
-
It is not closed.
-
In the Visa tracker I can see one more grant for July Gang ...
-
One more week has gone ... still waiting !!!

-
"I wish to advise that a decision has been made on this application and visas have been granted

Officially now: Oh Crap!

Hi Friends,
I am a Software Engineer. I want to apply for 190 visa. Before that I need to apply for EOI.
My ACS and IELTS are already cleared. As you know, in 22 Oct, 2014 NSW list, Software Engineer is not included this time.
Please suggest that when can I expect Software Engineer profession to be included in any nomination list of Australia in any state. Please note that my IELTS band is 6 each but my points are 60 in case of State Nomination visa.
Can you please suggest and guide me that what should be done from my side.
Dear preetiwala, I would suggest you to re-take IELTS test and try to achieve 7.0 in each band. This way your score will be 65 without State Nomination and you can apply for 189 Visa...

Three months have gone and still waiting for visa decision :ssign2:

Hi Usman!
I have 2 questions for you!
1)If you call DIBP the can tell you the status of your application????????
2)Where can I find that excel where there is a timeline of all the applicants???
Thank you very mucha and good luck with everuthing!!!
1) Yes they will tell status of your application...
Only enter your timelines. Please don't play around with excel sheet.

No NEWS @SUMU ... Wait is killing me ...
I called DIBP and they said my application is 95% complete, they are now finalizing my health checks.
I wonder why it is taking so long to finalize my meds. I have no history of illness and my medical reports submitted by clinic were all clear.
-
Usman, any news?
No NEWS yet... Hopefully next week *fingers crossed*

Hi,
I qualify for the 60 points required for the 189 skilled worker visa, I've had my qualifications assessed and approved to work in Oz. We were originally going to go on my husband's job and he took the ielts exam but due to an unforeseen circumstance we're thinking it might be better if we go on my job which is also on the sol list. I haven't taken the ielts exam and don't need the points from it to have the 60 points required but I heard somewhere that the principle applicant has to have done the ielts to apply...is this true or can I apply knowing I have the points required, a UK passport and proof of all my education being in English?
Thanks
Unless you hold passport of Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom or the United States of America you must give IELTS.
You must get at least 6 points on each band (listening, reading, writing and speaking) to be eligible for Permanent Residency Visa.
