  1. Sorry didn't get any response so posting again,

    Hello Guys,

I have lodged ENS 186. My wife is currently pregnant and it's unlikely we will get PR before our baby is born. In this case i will have t apply for Indian passport for my baby and then apply for including baby in our visa application. My Question is, till the time my baby receives Indian passport,his/her stay will be considered as illegitimate in Australia? Do i need to do something before baby is born? or just wait for the baby to bron, register birth, apply for indian passport and then include in our current VISA application?

    Appreciate your response.

    Thanks

hi sidat congratulations on the pregnancy, hope your wife is well :) when your baby You register the baby and apply for a passport and then you have to add the baby to your current visa. Once the baby had been granted that visa you can go ahead and add it to your 186 application. The baby won't be illegitimately in Australia unless you are. The baby will be given an Australian birth cert on registration of birth. Your baby will automatically become an Australia citizen on its 5th birthday regardless of your visa status. Hope that helps, good luck with everything :)

we did it kseafield we freaking did it!

  3. Hey kmchu, I am sorry this process is taking so long for you :( it's not much comfort but you are still week within the DIBP guideline of 5-6 months. Recently sikofbrit and Fiji had extended waits compared to others who had applied at the same time, but they did get their visas in the end. It can't be much longer now :)

  4. Hey Barney, there are 3 processing offices, wa vic and nsw. Some offices are a bit quicker, I think vic was having some delays recently, but it probably won't make much of a difference. 12-14 weeks seems to be the average. There is a central processing centre in nsw, but each application goes to a regional office.

  5. Guys, the dept have said themselves that they are processing applications from end of June. And anyone who applied around the 20th, it's only 12 weeks this week. I think we may start getting some news next week. The average time seems to be 12-14 weeks. Chin up everyone :) we'll be sipping Krystal and partying like it's 1999 in no time. That rhymes marge, and you know it rhymes!

  6. Some good news:

Email Updated on 10 September 2014

Please note that we are currently allocating ENS and RSMS applications that were lodged at the end of June 2014.

OH HELLS YESH MOFOS!! That's what I wanted to hear this morning!

Good to hear from from you sikofbrit, how's life on the otherside? We'll deffo be buying a new car ASAP, since we sold our old one to pay for the visa! I'm also waiting for my pr to apply for uni. I did the stat test a few weeks ago and I got a good mark, so I just need my visa now!

This is time next week maybe.......

davidexpat, do you know what processing centre is taking care of you? I believe Victoria is having some delays.

  7. Well that's another week over, another week closer :)

question for everyone, what is the biggest difference your PR will make to your life? Be it finally being able to book flights or telling your 457 sponsor to stick it, spill it! For us, the big difference will be not having to pay the new fees for school in wa, from next year it will be $6000 per year for the two kids, really glad we will be avoiding that!

  8. Paul, every wed the immi update an email with details of which applications are being allocated. If you email nsw.pse@immi.gov.au, you receive the email back. I'm not doing it, since I was audited (no big deal, they just emailed me directly to see if I was receiving it) by the dept and I said I wouldn't email anymore! Also, i think that it means the visas are being allocated to co, not necessarily being granted which is why people from arp and may still haven't received the visa grant yet.
