My nomination went in on 12/05
My visa went in 10 days later, 22/05
I don't know which center is processing my visa, as the last update date on my application is still the date I submitted it. My nomination approval email was sent out by VIC.
I know applications have different time lines. But it's a little frustrated knowing that they process some later applications quicker. We are all "buying" their processing service at the same price, right?
I was the same people were being granted there's before mine which was submitted weeks before there own, think it's down to which centre the application goes to mine was vic and found they were VERY slow.. Good luck

OH HELLS YESH MOFOS!! That's what I wanted to hear this morning!
Good to hear from from you sikofbrit, how's life on the otherside? We'll deffo be buying a new car ASAP, since we sold our old one to pay for the visa! I'm also waiting for my pr to apply for uni. I did the stat test a few weeks ago and I got a good mark, so I just need my visa now!
This is time next week maybe.......
davidexpat, do you know what processing centre is taking care of you? I believe Victoria is having some delays.
You don't actually realise how much your life is on hold until you get thT pr! Sometimes I find myself just having a little smirk to myself.. Now the mammoth task of saving a deposit for a mortgage!

Well that's another week over, another week closer
question for everyone, what is the biggest difference your PR will make to your life? Be it finally being able to book flights or telling your 457 sponsor to stick it, spill it! For us, the big difference will be not having to pay the new fees for school in wa, from next year it will be $6000 per year for the two kids, really glad we will be avoiding that!
Interesting question.. Think a lot of people are doing it for the school fees! I'd like to move states but think I'll stay put as scared of not finding a decent job elsewhere.. Other than that the only difference for us is we bought a new car lol better finance!

My timeline is as follows
11th April application and nomination lodged including police checks
22nd April medical submitted
21st July nomination approved
26th August pr granted
no contact with co.. Low risk based in perth but Melbourne processing, which is why I believe it took so long must be a backlog

PR Granted!!!!!!! at last!!!!!
-
Im TRT .. from what ive seen though direct entry are quicker

Nobody seems to be having any luck from Victoria!

Congratulations @Heyitsme another 1 bites the dust
-
ok spoke to boss, nope nomination not yet approved, in progress
Oh no ... Hope your a patient guy lol
-
Yes we have a MA but she is of no use at all, just glad we haven't paid for there services! We have been told it's being looked at but not by which co if any... Just team 4 Melbourne
-
Have you tried to stating team name in the subject line? It goes into their inbox (not central admin team) by that way.
or just a phone call.
Sucxx would that still be pse email?
-
I have had zero response other than the same reply each time I email... Really don't get how some are granted the same week a co is assigned and then others wait weeks.. Very straight forward case the only thing I can think now is our form 80 was the 30 year one before they changed it back to 10 year again

Quick update.
I received a response letter just today. I asked for an update last Monday and DIBP updated me that my visa application has been assigned to a co already (name indicated). And the good thing is, the co was copy furnished with the letter from DIBP. Hope it wont be a long wait anymore.
Where did you ask for the update? I've tried emailing pse but I just getting the same response team 4 has it and they don't actually answer my questions!

Nope Still twiddling my thumbs :biglaugh:

Hi heyitsme, well i guess yeah looking at other cases on here, but saying that i dont have any proof except for when i look at my actual application on my immi account and it states there nomination approved, strange, did anyone get an actual nomination approval letter/ email?
we've had zero contact with our case officer only a note added to our application requesting medicals, then an update stating no further information required about 3 days after the medicals, tbh i dont even know if we have a case officer, btw i did our application myself, a family of 4 with a step child so i guess not a straightforward case just hope i did it right
We had a letter stating our nomination had been approved.. Very quick approval! I'd say if you've been asked to get medicals you definitely have a case officer, shouldn't be to long waiting

Hi fiji & sikofbrit, any updates on your visas? I am still waiting for my visa approval a week after my nomination was approved. This waiting game is killing me!
l33brt, congrats!
Ive heard absolutely nothing, ive tried emailing pse they dont actually answer my questions just say which team are dealing with it, also been back onto the MA she says to give it another week and she would follow up again with another email ( not that her 1st one was answered ) im getting to the stage now where all i want to do is cry :biglaugh:
Really dont understand whats happened and thats the most frustrating thing especially now it looks like Junes are being looked at..
It does seem to be just fiji & myself that are waiting, we were 4 weeks on monday since nomination approval, yours should prob be soon.
-
I did make myself a nuisance to my poor MA. Once they called the office they were told 2 weeks for a CO to be assigned but it was granted that same day!
My MA told me there's wasn't anything they could do, even said immi don't like to be emailed. She told me she would follow up with an email but that was almost 2 week ago. Beyond a joke now I'mertainly not waiting patiently!
@fiji that's sucks about your police clearance! Least you have a CO on the job now hopefully not much longer

Adelaide must be having serious delay issues! Congrats grandad
-
i cant get that email to work, just get a notification saying cant be sent.
-
found out our application is in Adelaide, does anyone no much about the processing times of that office? obviously not as quick as others.
-
I'm not sure actually, Melbourne did our nomination so don't no if it'd be the same.. I'm in perth though
-
We applied 11th April on shore transition so it'll be 4 month on Monday for us no idea what's going on which is the most frustrating thing!
-
As another week has gone it's 3 weeks since our Nom approval our agent has emailed immi but no reply as of yet
-
Ours took 14 week for Nom approval things seem to be happening a little quicker at the min though
